that has been an aspect of his game that he has spent a great amount of time on this offseason actually

Remember the 23 MPH treadmill video? More where that came from

Sweet. He's definitely a great pro prospect with the pass catching and pass pro abilities. Would love to see my team take him.

Now that Peyton's gone, I only have the Titans to root for :(, but whoever takes Hurd I will instantly be a fan. Unless its the Patriots. I'll never cheer for the cheating Tom and the Patriots.

Yeah, he looks faster to me than Henry but Henry was able to bust those long runs. Of course, Henry also had truck sized holes that he could run through where Hurd didn't. But maybe he can improve that speed and with O-line improvement maybe he'll bust those long runs.

We ought to see some big runs this year. Been told he's faster than ever

Really expected conversation this summer to be more positive around here

Impossible with the same two people derailing every thread.

It's amazing how this can happen. There are hundreds (probably thousands) of good posters in this forum. It only takes two bad ones to turn things south.

Defense plays a role also imo.
So many preparing for the run when they face us.

I don't like it for the kid

I like it for the sake of the program

I support butch any Way chooses even if I wish for the kids sake he did it differently

Easy fix that will NEVER happen. Early signing. When you commit you sign. Done deal. Never happen but there you go

Henry able to his momentum going earlier than Hurd in bama offense only reason he looked faster. Hurd when we went under center looked shot out of a cannon vs northwestern. Can't wait to see more of that with him and play action off of it

The negativity is bad but the reemergence of Leb is what makes it unbearable for me.

He dominates the board and not in a good way. At one point the other day there was 14 threads on the front page with the last post from crunchy Leb.

Hotel flipping business must be slow.

Yep.
My solution is for the NCAA to set a signing period for sept1thru the end of a kids senior year.

Much of the problem would be solved. A kid would be able to get out of their nli if the HC is fired or changes job.

Anybody hear anything about running more I back/ single back sets from under center?

Would love love love to see more of Hurd like we did vs NW. Throw in a fullback and my head might just explode.

I remember someone asking in the spring if we'd see more I formation like we saw in the bowl game and Hubbs said probably not much. Then last night Hubbs was asked the same question and he said we'll see a good bit of it. Sounds like our staff might have decided giving Hurd a blocker frees him up to run thru defenses with ease. Really looking forward to seeing it very soon.

Hope he is right this time around

We had an insane amount of success with it in the bowl game

Does anybody know why we stopped doing the QB run in the Bama game? I'm rewatching the game and Dobbs was picking up 10 yds a carry in the first quarter. But they stopped running him after the first. I heard somewhere that he hurt his foot, is that true? Cause it seemed to me that Bama was not going to stop him from running

The line is ready, Hurd is ready and I can't think of a reasonable explanation not to.

The offense is going to be unreal.

Hurd running out of the I-formation. Dobbs being Dobbs on the ground. Kamara playing more in the slot and making guys miss. PW being the clear #1 WR. Wolf beasting at TE.

Oh, and a veteran, battle-hardened All-SEC quality OL (with DEPTH) blocking on every play.

I think play action is more effective running out of the I too.

Play action and short yardage runs. Hurd is tough to tackle backwards with a full head of steam and only 1-2 yards to gain
