Players usually take on the personality of their head coach, so to speak. McElwain comes off as a smarmy jackwad to me, so Tabor bumping his gums surprises me not.

I'll take McElwain over Butch Jones anyday. Only thing he has on McElwain is he can recruit. Everything else is Mac.

Including off-season talk. McElwain comes off as confident. While Butch comes off as scared.

I agree, butch has not run away from anything this year, it's put up or shut up time this year... he's either gonna be here another 10+ years or job searching. If he doesn't win big with this team it's time to find another guy

Don't know if it would be classified as serious but I'm pretty sure there is still work left to be done.

The irony is that UT is doing to VA what Clemson is doing to TN-- cherrypicking the state's best players. VA is a Top 10 recruiting state so establishing a pipeline there before Fuente gets a stronghold mitigates losing some of our top in-state recruits.

We're workin' like heck to recruit a lot of real good football players in the 2018 recruiting class that just so happen to play the running back position.
