Tabor is totally obsessed.

For the first time in a long time, it really feels like the pressure is more on Florida, not on us. Of course everyone wants to end an 11-game winning streak and there's pressure to do that, but geez...given how thoroughly the Gators have dominated us you wouldn't think they would feel like they have to run their mouths so much. Just who is it they're trying to convince?

I would like to see how confident he is when we are up 28 entering the 4Th

His quotes show me that the streak absolutely has a psychological effect on both teams. Gators flat out expect to win and have since the early 90s. Vols hope to win.

I wouldn't complain about either. I still remember the days we were happy that someone was actually fielding punts, as opposed to Dooley literally not sending a returner back, SMH

Nick, if i recall correctly, you were one of the last Dooley holdouts, as well as myself. We held on to hope way too long.

Haha, I was 5 rows up from the field on the side where it happened at the 20 yd line. Seered into my memory. It was all I could do not to run on the field and tackle him myself.

We weren't too far from each other. My brother and I were straddling the 50 a few rows up on that same side. I almost felt like I could stick my leg out and stop him.

My brother is a UT grad and works for JB Hunt at their corporate office.

He's popped off so much that it is starting to sound like he fears Tennessee!! He has something to say about it everyday! He is definitely psyching himself out about that game for sure.

The obsession and the amount the Gators are talking about the UT game this year just shows their insecurity. It's pretty simple. They haven't done this for the last 11 years. They were dismissive. It was almost an afterthought not worth discussing. It's different this year, and I think a lot of it has to do with how lucky they were to win last year and how that entire team of ours is back and bigger, stronger, and hungrier.

I won't believe it until I see it still, but it's pretty clear they are over compensating with all of the talk. I can only hope we put the stomping on them we are capable of and that they deserve.

No way, I'm at Tyson right down the road from him. Does he know of a UT alumni group in NWA? Tyson ceo being from UT has brought lots of UT people up here.

I saw a few orange shirts around me at that game, so I probably saw you.

I think you are right. I mean they have beaten Ky 27 times in a row (or is it 28) and there isn't any mouthing off about the Cats!! And you know that might be a trap game for Florida even though its at home. Still, the obsession is clearlly with UT!

Players usually take on the personality of their head coach, so to speak. McElwain comes off as a smarmy jackwad to me, so Tabor bumping his gums surprises me not.

At the end of last season Florida was very much playing at a kentucky type level. Those final 5 games for Florida were awful. I suspect most of the Gators players are wondering if they are really that bad? They were really bad those final 5 games last season.

It is simply not possible to score too many points on the Gators. If we're up double digits and the ball is inside the 1, with a few seconds on the clock, I hope one of our "few good players" rams it in for six more. Then goes for two.

Tabor is a classless punk-- but he has a point. Either they find a way to win... or we giftwrap them the game. Team 120 has to make a definitive statement... and take that juice right into Athens.

You may be right, but Tabor is and has been as smarmy as jackwads come. And in terms of Gators coaches, McElwain is on the lower end of the spectrum for jackwads too.

I can't wait to see what he says after we win. I mean, guys who talk thy much are just setting themselves up. He's gonna be humbled quick

CP is just a different animal. He broke some tackles, but mostly left fools grasping at air.
Evan has great straight line speed, and benefits from some missed/broken tackles

Evan also has superior blocking, but all great returners do. That's a part of why they break so many

I actually remember games where the return men were so bad about flubbing punts that I was hoping whoever Kiffin or Dooley put back there would just get out of the way. When they got Devrin Young he was at least pretty good at catching the ball. Remember how confused Nukeese Richardson looked when he tried to return punts?

Heck, even in 2014 the blocking was so bad all Sutton did was go back and fair catch the ball. I had no idea how dangerous he was with the ball until the blocking improved last year.

I came to UT in 2012. Remember deciding to sit the troy game out. Could hear so many cannon blasts, but was depressed cause they were close the whole game. Then we lost to Mizzou... then Vandy. Bad times. But drunk times.

At least there was a silver lining.

It's possible the Gators could start the season 2-4, with 4 SEC losses in 5 weeks. A lot is riding on their QB. If Del Rio isn't clicking right from the start, they could lose to an improved UK team, get gutpunched in Neyland, have trouble scoring against Vandy's D and get humbled by LSU. Wonder what Tabor would have to say about that?

He'd probably be suspended.

I didn't realize the Tyson CEO was a UT grad until just recently. I have two other friends in Little Rock who are UT grads, and one had shared that.

My brother has been with Hunt for over twenty years as he was hired out of college. He has been in NWA about 10 years. I will ask, but I doubt he does much with an alumni group. He has 3 young kids.

Thanks, I've looked around but haven't found any alumni groups. Ya the Tyson ceo is a Tennessee boy and a UT grad, one of the smartest down to earth people you'll ever meet.
