Lets slow it down just a bit.. The very talented, physically gifted young man is still very raw. I believe this is just his 3rd year of football, EVER!
This is the SEC, he will go against the best of the best, whom I might add have played ball for several years.. KM struggled, Drew Richmond struggled, heck even Reggie White struggled in their first year. They were all can't miss 5Stars, He can be great and I hope he is even better than that, but, he hasn't even had a practice at the D1 level yet.. Technique, assignment, fundamentals all have yet to be learned.

This is the appropriate place to ask that question for people who have a life and aren't just lurking here all day waiting to be a smart Azz.

Some guys just enjoy being a smart ass. I understand not everyone can be on top of things all the time

Leonard Little's old number - awesome!!!

I hope he shakes his pointer-finger in a "no-no" fashion whenever they run to his side.

You left out asst. defensive coordinator and be on dancing with the stars. That's kinda what I was saying, everybody has sure hyped him up so I sure hope he lives up to it. It sure seems he will be stud, but so have several other players over the years that never reached on the field where they were in people's minds. Especially when they are in their 1st year and not even in the program but a couple months before lining up vs PROVEN studs. I kinda think his film looked typical of a SEC level players film but I admit I may not have paid as much attn to the atheletes he was playing against. No doubt he is working hard and has every chance to be great though. We shall see either way.

Well he has hyped himself to a certain degree. And I can see why he had to in order to get recruited. He played maybe 6 games of HS ball in Canada, who may have some decent HS programs, but it is still hockey country. Most of his teammates played 4 years in HS, middle school, and started out in cutters and pee wees. Don't know how long Kongbo's coach needed to get him convinced to give up basketball, but still, my big concern is not his talent, but how he reacts at this level.

I hope Kongbo is all that and a jumbo sized bag of chips. But the main reason I express my doubts is so hopefully all you folks going goo goo over him temper your expectations, and aren't grabbing your favorite recipes for fried defensive end when or if he screws up.

I heard that he was up to 282 pounds! If so he may be the biggest DE that UT has ever had or he's going to play DT at UT.

I heard somewhere a few weeks back the youngster was a ham sammich away from 280, happy to hear someone took him to Arbys and got that straightened out! If he can get just a few techniques down and learn how to keep those >300 lbers from getting their hands on him, he can help inside perhaps more than he can outside.

Kongbo has one helluva wingspan on him and plays nasty. You can plug him in anywhere on the line and he will be effective.

The official UT roster has his position listed as DL. So apparently we should expect him to play either position on the DL.

Yes, and that was announced a good while back. In fact, Kahlil wore 99 during spring practice.

Try to keep up.

Wow, we got a know-it-all-I-keep-up-with-everything-probably-because-I-don't--have-a-job-or-any-other-pressing-life-matters-to-worry-about-smart-arse here...

Chill buddy. Not everyone has the time to read and catch every bit of information and every word of every thread posted.

As much money as I paid to Rivals and Scout, CBJ better start playing the higher rated star players.
