'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Limited history? Clemson is on the verge of being in the top 20 in all time wins. Their a top 25 program historically.

Their recruiting rankings over the last 5 years or so would land them about 5th in the SEC. Behind Bama, LSU, AU and UGA on average. Those are the only programs who've been more consistent.

Flavor of the month to me, implies they're hot right now cause of what kids saw last year. They have 3 BCS bowls in 5 years, several 1st round draft picks and OOC wins over LSU, Ohio St, OU, AU, UGA and USCein the last 3-5 years. They're not falling off anytime soon unless they're hammered with probation.

My only problem with this is they play in one Weak Ass conference and one pathetic weak schedule.

Have you seen the SEC East since Meyer left Florida and Fulmer got fired at Tennessee ?

That's why UGA fired Richt. They figured UGA should have at least won the division every year since Meyer quit.

Sure ,Tennessee gets stuck with Bama every year, but the teams in the East have been weak for years only to be served up as the sacrificial lamb in Atlanta each year.

If "Tee is a fine young man", then he needs to get his head out of his azz and try to get his college career off to a better start.

He, and perhaps his family if they were involved in this drama, have shown at the least immaturity, and at the worst dishonesty and disrespect to their community.

If he plans on living in Oak Ridge/Knoxville has he thought about the implications of coming home and trying to get a job? Imagine how that interview will go when the boss went to UT and remembers how his recruitment went down.

I have not heard anyone criticize him for his decision to go to Clemson, but many are upset about his disrespect for UT, and that character flaw does not bode well for his future.

He will either play in the NFL if he actually makes it which is never a given no matter how good you are in high school or will spend the rest of his life in Greenville or some other crappy place there. Charleston is the only town that would be a nice place to live. I can understand wanting out of OR but would rather live in East TN than most places.

Buncha BS from so called experts that were wrong. Tee is a fine young man and just chose to go elsewhere.

Tee is a punk for disrespecting everyone associated with Tennessee. Not for going elsewhere. Why is it so hard just to be a decent person? If he was going to go, he should have just been honest about his intentions and went. No jerking us around.

My high school team played against st Leroy Thompson and he was great. Great basketball team from Austin East those years as well.

Yet you're acting like the East will be down forever. It's the SEC and highly touted recruits are going continue to come here so schools like SC, Missouri, Florida, still have the chance to become winning programs with the right coaching which we've yet to see so far.

Do you remember Leroy Thompson?

Gotta admit had to wiki him but that's cool he came home. I would say that he is an exception to the rule. I'm not in any way bad mouthing the area heck I had been trying to move here for years and finally got the opportunity and I jumped on it. No matter where you grow up though sometimes you just wanna get outta dodge.

Its the old adage, for every smoking hot woman out there there is a guy who is tired of her.

Care to explain why he lied to our coaches until the video was released? Almost all of us understand that Tennessee is not the best place for every player we want, and, though it is disappointing, we move on a lot quicker if the player has been straight up with our coaches and does not lie to them.
