The Trey Smith thread is the best repository for such news. :). Karma is a fickle lady, wasn't the Ole Miss goon squad one of the biggest practitioners of the "Tennessee is going to receive sanctions...Butch will be fired" fiction? :hmm:

If Tennessee goes to Atlanta with more than one loss I'll be disappointed. Team is special this year and should be in the playoffs at the end of the year. No excuses 😎😎😎😎😎

I think the Vols and LSU are very similar teams this year, and I have no doubt that LSU would steamroll our schedule and go 11-1 at worst.

I want a rematch with Oregon. They're worse and we're light years better than 2010 and 2013.

I think we could roll into Eugene and beat them by 2 TDs this season. What do y'all think?

Their speed advantage would be gone and we would maul them in the trenches. Plus, I can only imagine the field day Hurd would have running against that defense.

True. We still need to see team 120 on the field. I just hate that we had to play Oregon and OU during a 6-season stretch where the program sucked. Those games should have been epic.

I would be pretty into playing anybody anytime. Haven't felt that way in a good while. Go Vols

I mean, we definitely have them beat overall but there's no denying the level of talent they have spread around. Receivers are insanely talented and can flip momentum off returns. Don't forget about Myles Garrett and Daylon Mack. Those guys are no joke. I'm not saying we lose but i don't see us running away with it more than a 17 point lead or so

POTS needs to play Rocky Top frequently during that game. Apparently, it drives their fans crazy. I've been snooping around on texags.com, and there is some weird universal loathing for Rocky Top. Here's an example:

I don't like FSU, but it's hard for me to hate them because they are one of the schools that it benefits us when they are strong.

Not disagreeing with you, it would be a fun game. Just waxing poetic.
