Get Ready for the Tennessee Buzz

Barring an upset of Mike Tyson vs. James "Buster" Douglas proportions, Tennessee will be picked to win the East when media votes are tabulated and released on Thursday afternoon.
When that happens, take a deep breathe, relax and understand that these will be uncharted waters for the Vols. Tennessee was last picked to win the SEC title in 2005 (it finished fifth in the East), and has been picked higher than fourth in the division one time since 2010 (last year, when it was picked to finish second behind Georgia).
When the Vols make the rounds on Tuesday, you can bet your bottom, top and middle dollars that head coach Butch Jones, quarterback Joshua Dobbs, linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin and cornerback Cameron Sutton will be littered with questions regarding the hype.
Can the Vols handle it?
That's the $64,000 question, and we won't know the answer until toe meets leather.

The hype is real and the struggle is over! Now it's time to embrace the expectations and take it on full steam ahead. Team 120 will be ready. So get your popcorn ready. Go Vols!

I'm glad UT is in the Hype Train, if this team can keep their minds about them and focus on playing one game at a time......really! 120 should have a pretty great year. It's hard to sit here and remember what it was like when UT and FLA decided the East. I believe the SEC is more balanced. That is good for everyone, the SEC has been picked.....AGAIN as the strongest league.........as it should be. I love that we have the target on our backs vs. the opposite. Barring any big injuries and a total melt down.......2015 will be the year everyone points to as when CBJ brought the pride and excitement back to Knoxville.

Love my Vols

GBO!

"Uncharted waters" for an SEC Championship? We're not 2nd all time in the conference with 13 because we don't know how to win.

Wait!!! I thought UT is over hyped every year and never meets expectations?

What time will CBJ be at the podium? I feel sure I haven't missed it yet. Looked for a time yesterday, however, and didn't have any luck.

I think we can all agree the hype train is off the rails. Take a second to imagine what everyone would be thinking about our program if we had not forced a fumble against USC with under a minute left as they were marching down field attempting to complete a win from being down 17-0.

If USC scores there instead of fumbling and wins the game, perception of this program would likely be monumentally different right now (and likely our 2016 recruiting class / maybe we don't get Scott or Shoop).

The SEC crew just said Dobbs is an incredible athlete. BUT has a lot of work to do in throwing, and his WRs have to help him out more. He lacks a deep ball, and throws almost all screens on third downs. Said Chad Kelly is the best SEC qb.

I agree with all points

that the audio is screwed up. Good grief it's been like this for 30 minutes and they haven't even put up that they are working on the problem. We may not hear Butch Jones say anything. GBO!
