Trump then attacked Ben Sasse for being against him and for refusing to attend the GOP convention. Senator Sasse responded by saying " I'd rather go watch a dumpster fire with my kids then attend the the convention."

Trump also called out Sen. Mark Kirk (who was not even there) who withdrew his endorsement of Trump last month, because of Trumps racially based attacks on a federal judge and said he did not approve of the senator’s actions. He the called Kirk a loser and vowed that he would win Illinois in the general election even though the state has been solidly Democratic.

Trump is a clown. I'm glad to see some members of the GOP see that. He always says childish **** like "I've not even attacked ____ yet". How about you stop with the personal attacks and come up with some actual policies?

As bad as Trump may be, the rest of the field was actually worse. Mainly a field of career GOP politicians who haven't done anything for the electorate, and a couple of novices who couldn't survive the jungle. This wasn't about picking the best; this was about the disenfranchised anti Democrats gouging the eyes of the GOP establishment.

A fine current example, is Clinton got caught with her hands in the cookie jar and will skate because the GOP is too inept, too complacent, and too uncaring to do anything about it. Being effective to the people who vote involves some actual work and some risk - not continual self deprecating compromise - a topic completely foreign to career Republicans.

"We had a positive and productive meeting this morning with Donald Trump. Donald asked me to speak at the Republican convention and I told him I'd be happy to do so," Cruz told reporters.

I wouldn't be surprised if he offered Cruz a position under him if he won. I don't see the gop coming together.. but we'll see.

I think Franklin/silence is a bot created by breitbart. He posts their articles and only uses a few phrases, all with the same weird capitalization habits.

We need one of those login things where you have to read a word hidden in a picture and type it out to prove you aren't a machine imo.

Least I remind you that Trump needs 46% of the Hispanic/Latino vote to win the Electoral College.

Among Latino Voters:

Clinton 80% (+67)
Trump 13%

Cruz is in the Senate and so has to get along with Trump, just in case he wins. Jeb has no such concerns and is not required to swallow his pride and dignity, and endorse a guy he knows for a fact is a complete basket case.

Lost me there. Jeb lost every shred of dignity when he acted like a child throwing a temper tantrum over having to drop out.

Of course, if I wasted $100 million, I'd likely be pissed too.

Or it could be that Cruz is politically motivated regardless of how he preaches morality, while Jeb actually is a politician that refuses to leave his morals at the altar.

What is the thinking that a zero percent tax rate means all these companies will flock back here, and keep their money here?

It is still the case that the stockholders, when they sell, get taxed. And it is still the case that paying the management that makes these decisions still have to pay income tax.

What is the economic rationale that says the corporate rate is really the issue?

Corporate rate is only part of the issue. But he also wants to abolish payroll taxes and income tax. Go to a consumption tax. You pay taxes on what you purchase, not what you make.

So you agree that there's multiple issues, but you don't believe that removing one of them would help?
