Partisan pandering during a crisis? Did you just miss that farce of a press conference Obama did where he blasted everyone but terrorists? Miss the partisan tactics in Congress yesterday when the Democrats went after Paul Ryan after the moment of silence? Have you not seen the pandering nonsense going on with those who couldn't wait to toss out gun control legislation before the incident scene was completely cleared?
Oh, there's plenty of partisan pandering going on right now. Does't change the fact the President, regardless of party, should have picked up a damn phone and called the Governor.
Are you saying partisan politics should be expected during this time? Would you agree that O not calling S is for partisan reasons? I'm confused (more than I normally am.)
Scientific? Your 'source' confirms that it is only opinion.Scott is an ahole. That's scientific fact.
Source: I'm a Floridian.
Also I love your strategy of calling me the source for divisiveness in a thread whining about the POTUS. Seriously, that is a solid play. 'Imma borrow that one going forward if you don't mind.
It's a leadership function. Even though they are on opposite political parties, the very least Obama could have done was picked up the phone and said "we're behind you. Whatever you need, we'll help."
If a former President beats you to the punch, you know you're wrong.
Scott is an ahole. That's scientific fact.

Outside of people who already don't like Obama, who cares? Scott is a bit of an ahole, a phone call changes nothing.
I just think a president who has time to go do stupid skits on a late night show should have 5 minutes to make a phone call. It is earth shattering, no. But it's just one more thing that points to his overall character.
100% agree.
Out of curiosity, how did Bush do on Katrina and 911?
KING: Have you spoken to your friend, the president?
BARBOUR: I have. The president has called me three times, actually. In fact, the president kept chomping at the bit to come down here. I asked him to please wait. I heard Governor Blanco. We have some of the same problems. The telecommunications infrastructure is totally destroyed. We have no electricity. So therefore, we don't have any hot water. Just the basics are not there.
KING: Governor Barbour said that the president wanted to visit Mississippi, he told him not to come. Does he want to come to Louisiana?
BLANCO: Well, I've been in touch with the president. He's called often before the storm and after the storm. I know he's helping Haley. He's helping Louisiana. He's helping Mississippi. We're in desperate need. I've never seen anything like this. We've seen lots of hurricanes on this coastline here in Louisiana and Mississippi. We've got a lot of friends al along the coast, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.
Feel free to borrow anything you like, but you should probably stick with your whining about how much other people whine... your hypocrisy looms large in this thread.
And as far as my accusation of you practically starting the divisiveness, see the posts below for evidence. The OP's post was in no way divisive as it simply called out the POTUS for not making a phone call... period. And it carried no different meaning than the post DanciingOutlaw made, to which you "100% agreed".
Further, you could have ended your initial post after the first sentence and it would have not been divisive. But you had to go beyond just defending Obama and also call the governor of FL an a-hole. So yes... you were the first to make a partisan, divisive post itt.
And btw... does "a phone call change nothing" or do you still "100% agree" he should have made the call? Feel free to argue with yourself as you've now supported both sides of the issue.
Before or after he called the Governor of Louisiana to beg her to evacuate NOLA the day prior to landfall? Or had the 7,000 troops deployed into the affected areas of Katrina to help?
And yes, he called several times to both Governors immediately after the storm:

And do you honestly think he made partisan speeches on the day after 9/11? Or two days after? Here's the transcript:

Want to show me the partisan politics in that speech?
When I plug what you said into Snopes, this came up:

GOV. KATHLEEN BLANCO, LOUISIANA: Thank you, Mayor.
I want to reiterate what the mayor has said. This is a very dangerous time. Just before we walked into this room, President Bush called and told me to share with all of you that he is very concerned about the citizens. He is concerned about the impact that this hurricane would have on our people. And he asked me to please ensure that there would be a mandatory evacuation of New Orleans.
The leaders at the highest ranks of our nation have recognized the destructive forces and the possible awesome danger that we are in. And I just want to say, we need to get as many people out as possible. The shelters will end up probably without electricity or with minimum electricity from generators in the end. There may be intense flooding that will be not in our control, which would be ultimately the most dangerous situation that many of our people could face.
I know what you said was in jest, but because CWV will ask for proof:
