Bleacher Report's lead NFL Draft analyst on Josh Dobbs

Ouch, a couple of those responses under, seemed unnecessary.

Oh, and D4H, not a huge deal but it was a tweet. Couldn't you have just added it to one of your other threads in this case?

@Tomahawknation "@nfldraftscout you seen his numbers against ranked teams? QB rating of 106. Poor man's EJ Manuel type"

@NFL draft scout "@tomahawknation Oh, I agree. Crazy talk to me.
Guess it's that time of year where potential is big."

His actual opinion on Dobbs.

The takeaway is that there are some NFL team's scouts who like Dobbs. And in the end, all it takes is one team to fall in love with a guy (especially at QB) for him to become an early round pick.

It's still amazing to me that Tebow snuck into the first round of the Draft. He had amazing intangibles to help him out with that.

EJ Manuel is a poor man's EJ Manuel.

I can tell you that from inside the Pather organization that is not how they view Dobbs. His actual opinion doesn't mean anything to me personally, no offense to anyone who values his insights.

I believe in Josh's arm, athletic ability, intelligence, leadership abilities, character, running ability, and his decision making.......it's only his throwing accuracy that I don't have full confidence in.

I'm sure they're are. Personally, love him as an athlete but think he has some growing to do as a passer before he's considered an early draft pick. I just wanted to provide the proper context of what was said for the conversation.

The point is actual scouts liking Dobbs. The opinion on a guy who writes articles on a website is secondary to that of people who actually determine who gets drafted.

Totally get that. I have my own skepticisms regarding his ability to be consistently accurate as well.

My only point was that NFL teams and scouts have taken chances on guys with question marks before and that it just takes one team for a guy to go early.

I love Dobbs as our QB and he seems like such a good person, but, I just don't think he has the type of arm throwing ability you need to be an NFL QB. Hope I'm wrong

Bleacher report....yeah...legit for sure. If bleacher report were legit Michael Jordan would be playing for the Orioles and Christiano Ronaldo would be playing for LA Galaxy right now. I just have a hard time taking ANYTHING on that site seriously.

If Dobbs improves his accuracy the kid will be a second-third round pick. He's got a decent arm but is brilliant and that's the number one thing at the QB position. Like Manning said 90% mental %10 physical.

I thought you said these guys dont really know what they are talking about. Oh I forgot, he kind of agrees with you so that means he knows what he is talking about.

I will be highly surprised if Dobbs is even drafted. I could see him being drafted as a WR over being drafted as an NFL quarterback.

Irrelevant. D4H says Dobbs is a first round lock. He watches more film than anyone and that means Dobbs is going to the NFL.

I've heard that UT football players check social media.
If Dobbs has read any/all of the posts by D4H, he's probably too frightened to not try.

What? Not one scout at all has said he will be a wr. There is disagreement about how high he will be drafted. They all say he is a NFL qb though. Why would he be a wr?
