'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Maybe. But he's playing with a receiving corps that's been playing WR for years and he's already shown more desire and toughness than two of them. He might make a better Safety, but there's no one on this board capable of making that judgement after 11 total games in his life of playing receiver.

Go watch him on kickoff coverage. He's hitting harder than any of our other DBs. Stood out just like JRM on STs his first year.

He's also a competitor so he's going to compete. But he still looks like a great DB prospect to ME.

Problem is, Dooley teams only had about 4 guys who should have been on the field

His offense was loaded his last year. Had 4 WRs during his tenure that would've been the main focus of Butch teams in the passing game(D.Moore, Hunter, D.Rogers, and C.Patterson). Zach Rogers also would have an argument as a focal point with these teams. The O-line talent wise was loaded his last year. Rivera at TE was another factor. Not going to at the least a bowl that year is arguably the biggest disappointment in Vol history.

As bad as the defense was, Missouri was supposed to be the win that put the team on track for a bowl.

Grier's 4th and 14 sucked, but Mizzou converted an even longer 4th down TD to send the game to OT.

— Five-star wide receiver Tee Higgins of Oak Ridge (Tenn.) High School stopped by Tennessee State to watch Sunday’s camp while he was in the area for some ACT preparation this week following a trip to Memphis, Tenn., with his mother. It was another encouraging sign for the Vols, who remain at the top of Higgins’ list after he released his top five choices in order last week. He had good things to say about Tennessee after the camp, and he said he’s planning to visit the Vols again June 18 for their “Orange Carpet Day.”

I think Tee committing (if he chooses UT) would go a long way to getting Trevor Lawrence. And vice versa. We need them both, they could benefit each other a great deal, and it would show a serious commitment to the passing game by the program going forward.

People forget Butch has had prolific passing attacks. And Debord is no stranger to prostyle sets.
