People ready to admit that Trump is a racist, yet?

His comments that a judge of Mexican heritage can't be impartial in a case in which he is involved. Same for a Muslim judge?

Should white judges be disqualified when dealing with a black civil rights activist? Can people really not see that Trump's ideology will set this country back and honestly, that is his primary campaign promise.

Defend away VN...

Comments were uncalled for, and most importantly for Trump, completely pointless. Even Newt, who has been slobbering over Trump for months, raked him over the coals for it.

There won't be a defense on here - just a deflection to the crimes Hillary has committed, as if both of these candidates aren't absolute pieces of s***.

So, how is that different from Obama?

This isn't racist according to VN. It's extremely prejudiced, and that's an important distinction for some reason.

I think the term racist is a very strong word that is thrown around way too lightly. As much of a buffoon that I think Trump is, I would say he has some obvious prejudices, but I think racist is too strong for the comments he makes.

Some may say "tomato/tomato" but IMHO racism and being prejudiced aren't the same thing. Related, but not the same.

I still don't think Trump is racist, but he knows a decent portion of his audience is. But those people are already on the Trump train. Who exactly was this comment supposed to bring into the fold?

I actually think there is a distinction, but I think of it in terms like manslaughter vs. murder. If it's better to think of there being degrees of racism, then ok.

If it's not any different does that make it ok for Trump to do it? Seems like you wouldn't want a guy that does what Obama does

I'm so sick of the "Well what about the other guy" line of defense that has become modern politics.

It's another reason I laugh at people who try to claim their side is better. No, you aren't.

I voted for him by mail in ballot for our primary, however I will not vote for him for President. I'm thinking of switching over to the Libertarian Party for the first time in my life

The label isn't what makes it bad, imo. The reasoning and the result are very similar. "He's not making a **** sandwich for us to eat. It's a booger sandwich." and then we argue about what kind of sandwich it is instead of focusing on the lunacy of the POS who would make either.

Beats me, most of the crap that comes out of his mouth is straight up idiocy.

I think VSF hit the nail on the head. I don't think Trump is racist or bigoted, but certainly is tossing the red meat to the base with his comments. And clearly has gotten his ass beat over it.

Obsessed tossed out a meme the other day about how a man that's been a public eye for 30 years and never had a hint of racism suddenly becomes a racist as soon as he tosses his hat into the ring for public official on the GOP ticket.

True. That's why I really don't have a problem with someone seeing something prejudiced as being racist, in the same way that first degree manslaughter is basically the same as 3rd degree murder, or however that works.

I could easily switch the question from racist to extremely prejudiced.

For the Obama poster. I am not a fan of what Obama has done for this country's race issues and I did not vote for him. To compare Obama to Trump doesn't address my question.

Was this meme about Trump specifically?

It's a fair point but it's not a conclusive point. Guys get away with murder for longer than 30 years, so it seems veey possible to hide racism for decades.

Of course it doesn't address your question, because that's the point. Why take responsibility for your actions when you can just point at the other guy?

He's never been provided such a platform to espouse his views on public policy prior to running for president either.

And he has been accused of being racist on numerous occasions. He's been sued numerous times with racism at the core of the lawsuit. He has been accused of saying that blacks were inherently lazy and shouldn't be allowed to count money in his casinos. The only people he wanted counting money were were short guys wearing yarmulkes. He's made concerning remarks before congress regarding Indians. He's used race as a factor in deciding to whom to rent housing. So, yeah you've fallen for another meme not based in reality.

This is where I toss the BS flag. Are you saying Trump has never been asked his opinion on political matters or had the opportunity prior to 2015/2016 to make them known?

C'mon...

Democrats hate successful people

The ONLY reason Trump is anything is because he had a rich daddy. He probably had more failed business attempts than successful ones. He claims to be self made but started his first business with what he calls a "small" 2 million dollar loan from daddy .
