Just a question since I value your opinion. Why do you think TN leads?

In the end, I just think he picks with his heart. As far as what system he fits better, that's been beat like a dead horse so not going down that road. I spoke with his dad last year and you could tell he perked up a little discussing the Vols. I won't say everything he said but he has expressed a little concern with the offense (he wasn't knocking it, just looking out for TL and his future) as he is looking for a perfect fit (as all parents should imho) but it will be TL's decision. HUGE Manning fans, did I say Huge?

As I've said before, most think it's a Ga/Tn battle, watch Clemson here, they are definitely in it. Don't think they get him, but he does like them, a lot. At the beginning of this thread, page 2 or so, before rankings came out, I said this kid might be #1 for the whole class of 2018. I still think so. Something people don't think about, a LOT of kids want to play in college with TL. His impact will be far reaching, not just with 2018 kids, but 2019, 2020, and even 2017.

Great kid, great family. Anyway, sorry to ramble, just my take. :hi:

Thanks for providing info to the board. Also good news that his family are huge manning fans. A great sell for butch and co to work with. I guess the next step is to sell him on the offense.

This is precisely the kind of long-term recruiting windfall that Tennessee accrued across the board as a result of Peyton's stature, both as a signee in the '94 class and his subsequent career at UT.

"I don't think Tennessee is positioned well with Lawrence he's been to UGA like four times this spring compared to once to Knoxville."

Looks like the Vols are struggling to get top QB's committed in 2017 and 2018. From what I hear it is poor Oline recruiting/development and scheme. Several top recruits from multiple classes will follow. Top tier QB's. It will be a win/win or lose/lose situation. My guess is that TL's decision could impact where 6-7 other kids commit, maybe more.

Tennessee can't afford to miss out on a quality QB for 2 consecutive years. Very concerning considering HJ decommit a few months ago. Something isn't right here. Need to fix it in a hurry.

In the spirit of freak out and complaining...

Remember that time we had JG and Hunter Johnson committed, with Trevor Lawrence all but locked up?

Good times.

If we take care of business this fall we will get a QB that we covet. It's that simple. Jones, Lawrence and Johnson arent tgem only three QBs in the 2017-2018 classes.

I'm a Cartersville alum and I spent a lot more time in Athens during HS then I did in Knoxville as well. Athens is fun. It doesn't mean that all four of those trips to Athens were related to football.

Athens is closer as well. Same goes for guys who visit us. I won't hit the panic button until he signs the NLI to anywhere but the vols.
