I want Jon and Dany to get married, and their eldest son be heavily hinted at or outright shown to be bat**** insane, just like the Mad King was, and have the show effectively end right where it began, with an insane ruler born of incest who will ultimately **** up everyone.

That just seems too appropriate for Game of Thrones to me.

Will GoT really have a "happy ending" though? Haha

How is an ending where the society is destroyed, and half or more of the population is dead..happy? They may come out victorious, but the people of Westeros are in bad shape already, and its going to get worse. Would it make you happy to see it completely destroyed? Almost no normal human being wants to watch a show for 8 years, just to see a fade to completely black..or in this case white. That would completely suck.

No matter what happens..there is no happy ending. Just survival and starting to put the pieces back together. One gripe I have about the show versus the books, is that the books are great at showing you how bad the war of succession has hurt the people. I don't the think the show has really made viewers understand that. The regular people of Westeros are devastated. It's like Europe after WW2.

Lol Dany is Jon's aunt. That would make them Alabama fans.

Dany and Jon may get together, but children are not happening if what the witch told Dany is true, then she is barren. Anyway Targs have always been incestuous. And there is more than just the brother-sister couplings. Plus Jon may not be what a lot of us assume he is. He very well may end up not being the offspring of R+L after all. I have thought it from the first time I read "The Game of Thrones", but at this point it would not surprise me for it to have been a giant red herring eff you by GRRM.

Hence why it was in quotes. It's not all happy but for GoT if they come up at top at all is a happy ending. If everyone literally doesn't die, its a happy ending. Lol

Ohhh..face palm. I missed that..sorry. As Drax would say, usually nothing goes over my head, my reflexes are too good and I would catch it...but that one did.

I will be pissed if there's a Jon + Dany marriage and the white walkers are cleanly defeated and everyone lives happily ever after under their rule. Awful ending for this series.

Agreed. The show is clearly not a fairy tale, so it shouldn't have a fairy tale ending.

Do you not understand that no matter what happens, there can be no "fairytale" ending? The best that could be hoped for is survival. In the books nobody's land has escaped destruction, except for Dorne and it is a desert. There is already very little food, and there is none stored anywhere for the hard winter. They are facing all annihilation and starvation. And still destroying each other...there can not be any "happy ending". Whoever ends up ruling, or married or whatever it is you think would be called a happy ending, they will be facing an almost impossible and miserable task.

Season 3 kind of shows how bad things are for the people.

Let's see, a "good guy" (Jon, Dany, Tyrion, etc), builds a massive army and defeats the Whitewalkers. The Iron Bank recognizes what Westeros just did for the entire world, and supplies Westeros with the funding and supplies needed to make it through Winter.

Once winter is over, the Wall is torn down and there is peace among the Seven Kingdoms, as they all had to unite to fight the Walkers.

The Wildlings return north of what was the Wall, but are welcome anywhere in Westeros.

The North and Winterfell belong to the Starks again.

Ramsey's head is on a spike.

7 years is up in Mereen/Slaver's Bay/etc, and slavery is abolished.

Happy ending.

Now do I think that's what will happen? No. Based on what I know about Thrones, it will go more like this:

This whole thing is setting up for a huge Ramsey victory.

By the last episode Sansa, Margery, Dany, and Messandei will all answer to whatever specific sexual desires he wants.

The Whitewalkers will finally invade, but they will spend their existence defending Ramsey.

You will hear multiple people telling tales of how The Mountain defeated The Hound with relative ease.

Arya will finally be a full fledged assassin, then Jaqen H'ghar will walk up behind her and stab her.

There will be a chest full of chopped up pieces of Tyrion and Jon Snow.

The Red Preistess will get one more life to bring back from the dead, and she'll choose Joffrey.

But on a lighter note, Sam will become a full-fledged Maester!

I'm excited about tonight's episode. The kingsmoot is one of the great parts in the books. Bran and the Night's King. Sansa confronting Littlefinger. Hopefully Sam arrives at Horn Hill. Should be really good

Sam arrives wherever he is going because his family has been cast this season.
