I see. I don't discount her reasons for murder, but I do more readily accept the fact that she is perhaps not as "holier than thou" that many wish to portray her as. That's the point he was making that I completely agree with.

No she is definitely not. But she does have a heart, unlike Cercei, Ramsey, Joffrey etc.

Cersei has a heart. Unfortunately she only has if for her brother/lover and children. She is also paranoid, delusional and petty. She also can't get out of her own way. On a scale of Ned Stark (1) to Ramsay Snow (10) Id say Cersei was a 8.5 maybe a 9. Dany is a 7 though

Nah..I'd put her at about a 5 in that scale. Ruthless and compassionate. You just seem to hate Dany for some reason. I think that GRRM has tried to show how her young life has formed who she is, but recent experiences have hardened her. She is a good character. She does evil, but she is not evil...but that is just my opinion.

I'd say 5 was neutral. Not the super honorable good guy but not the sadistic psycho. Arya comes to mind when I think of neutral. Dany isn't neutral at least not tv Dany. TV Dany fed a dude to her dragon at random. I don't hate Dany. I just don't romanticize the crazy things she does the same way I wouldn't for Ramsey or Joffrey.

Dany has killed many people. She allowed her brother to be burnt to death by hot gold. She cheated and killed the owner of the unsullied. She executed many slave masters and put their bodies on spikes. She has burned many people alive from Khals to witches. She has locked two people in a vault to starve to death.

But there is one common theme in all these victims. They all had it coming. The show built every victim of hers into an enemy. As an audience we like vengeance, and Dany isn't afraid to retaliate to people who insult her or betray her.

I can only think of one scenario on the top of my head in which Dany has harmed someone that did not have it coming, and that is drogon murdering an innocent baby. Even then she decided that she had to lock up her dragons to prevent that from happening again.

Her whole mission from the beginning has been to come back to westeros and reclaim the throne. Her entire objective in life is based on vengeance. She is not a tyrant, but she is not one to be trifled with. And that is why many people like her.

This is where the tv show frustrates me some.

Cersie has been paranoid of the Tyrell's for the entire duration of the series. She's fought appointing them to any position of power and she's fought with Margery over control of Tommen.

But now in the last episode she proposes they bring the Tyrell army to King's Landing to clean out the faith militant. This for me was a real wtf moment because I'm sure in the coming books there will be a lot more story to come to this decision. The tv show has portrayed the new faith militant as some faith brothers in robes with clubs or axes. While in the books it was a large mass of people moving into Kings Landing with the formation of the Poor Fellows, that probably were guys in robes with clubs, but there was also the Warriors Sons which were knights. I could see a large force being necessary in the books, but the tv show hasn't portrayed that well imo.

Jon: So what happened since the last time I saw you?

Sansa: Well my betrothed executed dad and put his head on a spike. I luckily escaped to the vale, but aunt Lysa tried to kill me because this creepy old guy named peter who was obsessed with mom has the hots for me. He then thought it was a good idea for me to marry Ramsey Snow. I'd rather not talk about that. How about you Jon?

Jon: Well you know, I've been here and there, killed a couple white walkers. Yeah they're actually real. Its kind of a big deal. Oh right, so like, I died a few days ago, but I'm alive now so no big deal.

Sansa: Nice.

Yeah, I was somewhat disappointed that Snow, The Watch, wildlings, or anyone at all are not discussing the white walker situation. It's the main plot line yet the show continues to keep it on the fringe.

I was expecting it to be among the first things Jon would tell Sanza about... Being a massive, magical, undead army of frost zombies heading their way and all...

That's one of my favorite things about the show. There's so much going on in Westeros. Everyone fighting to be the new king. The goings-on in various cities in the realm and the main thing is it might all be for not as there's a bunch of ice zombies coming and only a dragon glass and a few swords can kill them. That's good stuff right there....

I feel the same way. I think we all are secretly rooting for the white walkers to **** **** up in Westoros.

I agree and I'm loving all the many plotlines running, crossing, and converging on each other; it's truly amazing they have been able to effectively coordinate and keep each one high quality and engaging.

However, it is kind of starting to feel like we're watching the Titanic begin to sink and all the passengers are completely ignoring it and going on about their business as usual.

At this point, given the end of last season, I would expect much more urgency from Snow and The Watch regarding the white walker situation, even with the recent turmoil.

Instead, full attention is on Ramsey's trolling and I think they might get bit is the arse for it

Idk why y'all are complaining. It's the same way in the book. Plus Jon can't beat the white walkers back until he united all the house of the north against them. Which implies he has to take the north back from Ramsey to do so.

We've had two Ramsey death teases in quick succession now. I won't be shocked if the North is about to crush him when the white walkers arrive and they have to join forces to survive. That guy is like a cockroach. He probably would've survived the doom of Valyria.

Exactly. What the hell is Jon going to be able to do against the white walkers right now? He needs all of Westeros United to even stand a chance basically

He's going to go south and converge on Westeros and then he, Bran, and Dany are going to ride dragons north and obliterate the white walkers.

Not complaining, just examining peculiarities. It's hard to find anything to complain about with this show; it's the best since the Sopranos.
