'17 TN DL Rutger Reitmaier (Oregon commit)

No matter how much you've liked a team growing up, you have to live there for four years and if it doesn't fit it doesn't matter how cool their jerseys are

Which isn't very cool. Having so many uniform combinations doesn't mean they look good. I know I'm getting off topic, but their uniforms are the most overrated in football.

you can't handle the truth

I won't be upset if goes there. He won't make or break this class. Sure I'd like to land him, but they have a pretty good program with amazing facilities. I don't know much about the city itself. I just think their uniforms are overhyped.

we have problems here. He got an offer from Oregon. He really wants to go there.

DC for O was at Lipscomb today. fark.

What do you mean wants to go there? Has he visited there? There's a difference between being able to brag about an Oregon offer vs actually wanting to go to school there.

his quote has been he's always wanted to go there. UT is his choice if Oregon didnt offer.

"The Ducks made a new offer at Lipscomb Academy (Tenn.) Wednesday morning. It would appear the offer made a big impact with 6-foot-3, 280-pounder Rutger Reitmaier.

Brady Hoke was on campus for Oregon letting the three-star know he had a new offer.

"Coach Hoke was telling my coach he watched my film and new after a couple of plays he was ready to offer," Reitmaier said. "He said he likes me as an active 3-technique or a defensive end. I'll play anywhere. You can see from my film I'm willing to play anywhere. It doesn't matter to me."

According to Reitmaier, Oregon and Tennessee are two big offers at this time. However Nebraska and Penn State are 'right there with them,' according to the 3-star recruit.

"Those two (Oregon, Tennessee) are definitely up there. But I'm going to take some more trips and evaluate the schools so I can make a decision by mid-t0-late June. I would like to commit and focus on school and my senior year if I'm ready."

Reitmaier said he plans to visit Tennessee on June 18. He's also close to locking in a visit date to Nebraska. His immediate plans call for making a trip to Oregon and possibly a return trip to Penn State before making a decision.

With distance being a hurdle, the Army All-American detailed why Oregon has an immediate shot for his commitment.

"I've always dreamed of playing up at Oregon. I think their defense has always fit my style. I love to be aggressive and use my speed. I love the outdoors. I love to spend my summers hunting and fishing. My uncle lived in Oregon and told me how he loved it up there."

Another ace in the hole for the Ducks comes down to academics.

"I want to major in computer science and Oregon has a great program."

Tennessee leads the current 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions."

I know he is smart enough to realize that TN offers everything he says he likes, and some of those things he mentioned we surpass OR in. I'm not sure what all you hunt in the summer, however.

First crystal ball for Oregon but it was from an SB nation guy so I would put next to zero stock in it

Recruiting is about as fluid as my bowel movement after eating Chipotle. I'm concerned but not worried. Just win.

Per Hubbs

Rutger Reitmaier's recruitment is going to be interesting. Tennessee and Duke have been the top two contenders for the David Lipscomb standout, but he's going to visit Nebraska in June and now that Oregon has offered he will likely visit the Ducks as well.

There are a few other offers that, if they came his way, he would be very interested in. So, while Tennessee still holds the edge there's quite a bit of work to be done there. Reitmaier is expected on campus for the Orange Carpet Day in June as well.
