"On Crosby, after talking to several people today I think this has become more of a 50/50 deal than it was just a few weeks ago. I know Virginia Tech feels better about where they are following his visit last weekend. But, I am told they don't know what he's going to do.

I think until that visit Tennessee was in a really good spot. I don't know what he will do on Friday but we will certainly be trying to find out between now and then.

As for his game, Crosby had moments that showed you the type of athlete he is, but that didn't always show up. I think he took some reps off at times. But, when focused, he looks good."

Fort probably excludes that last paragraph if he felt this was 100% Tennessee.

I think it means, if Fort were more sure he was all Vol he would've left that part out. Since he is not sure he left it in to maybe soften the blow if we don't get him on Friday. I think anyway.

That last comment by Fort is step 1 in the we aren't getting him direction by the VQ guys.

Hope we see a surge in their optimism by Friday.

It's oddly quiet in this thread considering that this is a top 10 player who is announcing tomorrow and plays what is arguably our biggest position of need. Hopefully this is just the calm before the booming storm.

Yep. Awful quiet. No new CBs, so 247 guys know nothing. Dude is playing it close to the vest.

Per Basilio today:

Tennessee finds out tomorrow about DT Eric Crosby out of Virginia. Ironically, it's Tennessee and Virginia Tech for him. Indications I'm getting are that Tennessee won't be shocked if Crosby commits to Tech tomorrow. In fact you could say they believe he's Hokie bound.

Stud DTs are rare. Hope we can get at least one in this class along with a couple of development players.
