Hows that new Jerry world construction in Frisco going? Is it a cluster? Will it be bigger than Nebraska Furniture Mart?

I'll take some pics and share. Wife works right next to it. It's a monster! Going to have a retail and entertainment complex surrounding. What he wanted in Arlington...only in reality. :eek:hmy:

OK. Next year I am more afraid of them than Bama. I think they beat us....unfortunately:cray:

This year we will have a better running game and an equally good defense to the Bama team that walked the Dawg on them in Athens last year. And Jancek won't be around to almost allow them a fourth quarter comeback.

Yes...he really can be serious. Most everyone else realizes the defense collapsed from lack of depth & sheer exhaustion from being on the field too long...and a single first down on late drives would have sealed the game in several instances. But Dobb's throwing abilities are criticized because we're really racists. Otherwise he's got some decent insights cause he does watch a lot of film.

I don't buy that. The defense was still playing very well late in both the OU and UF games...except on 4th downs. Then for some reason, whether it be decisions by Jancek, missed signals, missed tackling, bad angles, etc., our defense looked like it was participating in Benny Hill skits.

How good????

Do you believe in Chaney as a OC versus Shoop the DC?

How good is Smart without Saban?

These are legitimate questions that I want to see answered. And I don't think they will set the world on fire.

I wouldn't use the first question as a bulletin point. UGA beat Shoop last year even without a coach and their worst offense they've had in 25 years.

Second one, no one knows, the pups or the SEC. I've seen some ignorant fans try to say he is Dooley 2.0, that's foolish and flawed thinking. Dooley couldn't recruit, recruiting is 70% of your success. Ask Butch

Yes, Richt pulled top 10 classes but is there anyone here that really thinks Smart won't pull top 5 every year and puts a top priority on recruiting. We don't know how much of that defense was Smart, every Bama fan will tell you a lot of their recruiting was because of him.

Back to Stevens, he won't last till summer IMO. Decision has been made.

3rd & Chavis...4th & Jancek. Prevent Defense usually just prevents you from winning

Most definitely. And Grier simply threw under the coverage. But that play still should not have been allowed to go for a 67-yd TD except for some extremely poor execution in the secondary.

I get it. Dobbs isn't Peyton Manning in the passing department. But you people have got to be trolling when you try to suggest he is the reason for losing to Oklahoma and Florida.

Oklahoma? How about Colton Jumper basically being a walking pass interference call? He was single handedly responsible for critical drives being extended on 3rd or 4th and long.

Florida? How about this for a stat. 5/5 on 4th down for 123 yards. Almost 1/3 of Florida's total yardage came on fourth down. But yeah, Dobbs was the problem...

So does prevent offense. "You play to win the game"

...not to "not lose it"

No. Giving up big plays on 4th and long is much worse for your chances than trying to milk the clock and play conservative on offense. Stop with this false equivalence. Defense blew those games. Not Dobbs. Not conservatism on offense.

Sammy! Long time, no see. Bringing the truth as always.

How would you guys feel if next year, when we play Florida, we're standing on the 50 getting ready for the coin toss and our captains refused to shake to the hands of Florida's captains?

Is it just part of a rivalry that could very easily turn back into what it used to be? Or is it just poor sportsmanship? Either way, would you support it or be opposed to it?

Something similar worked for UGA in 2007:

Gator stomp: An oral history of the 2007 Florida-Georgia game | FOX Sports

Of course, the Gators blasted them the next year in a revenge game.

QBs who do it especially irritate me. QB is the leader. His focus should be leading the recruiting effort for the school he's committed to instead of playing the recruiting game. If he isn't committed, he should not have chose a school so soon.

He's like 17 years old...you ever change your mind about something? Eight months ago he may have been certain he wanted to go to A&M. But things change, and he's fully entitled to be careful in this process. I understand the problem people have with kids doing this, and maybe we need to start calling these commitments "tentative commitments" when they're this far out. But when you're making a decision that will ultimately influence the rest of your adult life, at the age of 17 or 18, you deserve to make absolutely certain you made the right call. How's he gonna know if he never even goes anywhere else? I'd love for Coach Jones to give the kid an offer. That's the game.

Tabor is damn good. Wilson regressed but dominated Treadwell for sure.

He's very slow. Ran something like a 4.6 at the opening 3 years ago.

He's also been surrounded by a great supporting cast that has masked his weaknesses. 2 future NFL studs at safety (Maye and Neal), 2 future NFL studs at corner (Hargraeves and Wilson), a stud NFL LB (Davis), and 2 stud NFL d-lineman (Bullard and Brantley).

Tabor is the emperor with no clothes. Without such a stellar supporting cast he would be getting exposed for his lack of athleticism for the position.
