Context, Gramps. This election cycle is highly irregular, almost bizarro irregular. This will help Trump a lot more than it might hurt him.
The Fox coverage just showed a tremendous distinction between the Trump supporters at the event and the protesters. The attendees just wanted to hear what he had to say. The protesters shouted them down throughout the interview and when given the chance to speak refused to outline their reasons for protesting.
Truth be told I don't think it would matter what election year this would have occurred in. This is a bad image for the left and will turn off voters to the Democratic side.
Anybody else but me think that Ben Carson would make a good running mate for Trump? He adds a softer, more cerebral, cautious side to the boisterous Trump. That would be an interesting way to balance a ticket, in contrast to the usual geographic way.
