Secondary is a complete non-concern right now. Talent and depth all over the place. Sutton is rock solid, of course. Martin looks to be a star. TK Jr. is solid. Gaulden may the most talented player back there and we haven't really even seen him in action. Foreman seemed to be locking down the NB position. Plus we still have Abernathy, Osborne, Berry, Moseley, and Griffin.

Just a word of caution on your comment. Replacing Brian Randolph is huge. It is really tough replacing his knowledge of the defense, his ability to read offenses, his 4 years of experience, and most importantly his play calling and leadership. I'm really excited about this year's DB talent. It's the best we have had in over a decade. Just don't be surprised or disappointed if there are some learning curve issues.

I think Kelly and Berry learned plenty last year...Abernathy,Martin,Moseley and Foreman also. And now they have a better teacher. This fanbase doesn't need to be schooled on handling disappointing surprises. Since 2005, in some form or fashion, we've been certified and can teach a class. :geek:

I was a big Randolph fan and thought he was a bit underappreciated here. That said, we will be fine. Foreman taking over at NB frees up Gaulden to move to safety, and Shoop will have him/TK Jr./Griffin/Berry ready to roll.

Randolph was a bit limited in terms of athleticism and speed, and his knowledge of the playbook wouldn't have been as much of a boon this season due to a new defensive scheme and new DC.

There will be growing pains for sure, but nothing that will last longer than a game or two. Kirkland was rolling by 3-4 games in last season and he was a true freshman. Gaulden will be a RS So. and Kelly will be a junior.

Replacing randolph isn't huge at all. We ha e leadership and athletes all over the defense, randolph will be upgraded.

Preach

I think losing Randolph would be more problematic if our defense wasn't so experienced at every other level. We don't need someone in the back to make sure everyone's lined up correctly as much as we might've in the past

Rick Barnes keeping the team playing hard and fighting after losing Punter is a good sign for the future. Contrast that with how Auburn fell apart and gave up after they lost their PG/leading score and I think he will surpass how far Bruce took us

We're playing scrappy.

Candy looks like they don't even want to play. Shooting atrociously and turning it over a lot.

Look at the bracket.

Win today play LSU who we demolished. Winner gets winner of A&M/Florida (both winnable).

Man we have a chance to get to Sunday.

Have to win this one
