Some dudes wear big boy pants, other dudes don't. In this situation, someone wants to prove they can put on big boy pants, but they are to big and fall off.

I hate this crap is happening.

Time to rally around the family. Need to fight this.

Ziti

This you?

@TennesseeBeat: And I never reported that what he told me was what he told the grand jury. I don't know what he told the grand jury.

You guys missed the last part of that line.

They said "according to the affidavit"

What did they say?

Real vague stuff. Miller's started w/ a gif of that kid fainting in court and the caption was "So I just seen the new report". Then someone asked him what he thought and he said he isn't saying a word. Then he said something along the lines of 'If you're a former player then you can't say anything bad about UT bc you'll be eaten alive on twitter'. He's kind of making light of the situation.

JJ just posted a meme w/ "Charge it to the game". Which is something I'd say to Bowles if I gave him a hard time. Honestly it might have nothing to do with this at all though.

That's the gist of it I guess. Feel free to correct me or tell me I'm wrong on something.

Edit: Forgot to add JJ tweeted something about twitter fingers w/ an orange emoji. This is more typing than I'm used to doing.

They said "according to the affidavit"

That statement was intentionally misleading

"We start with a story out of Knoxville where Butch Jones called a player a traitor to the team for helping a victim of sexual assault. Two football players are accused of the crime according to the affidavit".

How about "according to an affidavit Coach Butch Jones allegedly..."

They did read Butch's response thankfully.

Sensationalism at its worst. This is all a money grab and the media is lapping it up.

From the top rope. I hope this does go to trial now so stuff like this can get explained more in a court of law.

Chris Low saying if UT continues tonight this lawsuit, it could another 1-2 years until trial even begins...

I would be very surprised if the judge doesn't bar the lawyers from talking/leaking info to the press soon after the university files it's answer.

A Boy has crush on a girl, that girl wanted another guy, that guy and girl get involved, then that girl regrets it. Everyone has been drinking, boy consults his crush, boy does everything he can to stay on crushes side, and reports to police, other team mates find out about this and get mad at the boy. the boy gets embarrassed for being called out. boy departs for the best interest for all parties. Boy now is mad and wants revenge. That is how I understand said situation.
.

Chris Low

Sources told me UT, independent of athletics, investigated Bowles retaliation allegations in 2014, and Bowles said Jones handled it properly

Chris Low

Whether it's wise or not for UT to fight lawsuit, the "disgruntled former employees" @HollyWarlick referenced aren't going to quit fighting.

^^^more that points to the thought that the disgruntled lady vol faction have a hand in this.

Do we know anything about the lawyers pushing this for the plaintiffs?

I may be way off, but my assumption is there are some local/state lawyers involved, but that they are also tied in with a larger, more national firm that will keep popping up in lawsuits against other schools.

UT won't be the last of these by any means. I would imagine other schools are simply getting ready.
