It was a PR conference for the coaches to have a chance to defend themselves and their program. Nothing significant was disclosed or said. Haters are gonna hate thou and the press is going to pick apart this like vultures they are until every piece of decayed meat is gone.
Just saw on Twitter one assclown in the media tried to claim Warlick said that the sex accusers were "disgruntled". That idiot didn't realize she was referring to former employees of the AD. Its clowns like this who is in the "media" today.
That's exactly why an hour long presser was idiotic
Too long for the vultures to pick apart portions of it.
The more said the more will be used against us IMO
Well, I didn't get to watch the press conference but at least I got the VN report that clarifies everything.
I'm really glad and pissed that the coaches showed their support and disregard for the students, and said all the right and stupid things that were needed to protect and vilify the University and to fight and fuel the lawsuit.

Maybe they aren't afraid of the vultures and want to set the tone of they believe in what they and UT stands for, it's gonna be a long and draw out dialogue that will help improve UT, Tennessee, and America. Face the adversity head on, and prove.

It would be completely ignorant to do anything but want the "vultures" to drop this subjects
Anything that fuels that fire is a bad move
Of corse the bad publicity that this creates is something that we all want to be dropped. But as a leader in ye community UT should be happy to take the lead on this culture conversation. If they are being honest and truely want the best for the "kids", to sweep this chance to address sexual misconduct under the rug, would not be the right thing to do.
It was a good idea but poor in execution.
The conference should have been brief. 10-15 minutes at most. To much rambling. Have one clear and concise message.
No, you're not getting it. Again, this is a societal issue. Has been for a long, long time. You seem to imply that UT doesn't counsel these athletes. They do....over and over again. Still, there will always be some who refuse the message. That's reality. It's also a bit short sighted to ignore the elephant in the room. If we are being brutally honest about this, the lessons about drugs, alcohol, how to treat women with respect, etc SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE AT HOME. That's the primary responsibility of the parents, but in many cases, despite the best efforts of the parents, people get off track and go astray. It's the human condition. No amount of talk will stop someone with bad intent. It's nice to talk about programs, steps, counseling, etc, but evil exists. Bad things will happen. Sorry, but you need to live in reality. Not saying we shouldn't try, but let's put the damned blame where it belongs....the individual committing the crime. It's not the woman, it's not the school, and in many cases, it's not what the family taught. It's the individual. Go after them hard and heavy. Punish the individual.
Actually the only rambling I saw was Holly. I think she's feeling the heat and wanted to show her devotion to UT but came across as desperate.
