Weekly, Butch, and the rowing coach really impressed. I get a strong butch jones feel from the rowing coach. I feel like I'd run though a wall if she asked. All in all, this was a spectacular public response on the biggest possible stage.

Dangit. I wasn't able to watch this. Does anyone know if this will be watchable later to those who missed it?

I know some on this board have watched this and think that what just happened was a good idea.

I have not even watched it yet and I already feel like it was a bad idea.

This thing is going to get nit picked by the media and draws unneeded and unnecessary attention to it. Not to mention that Hart and Cheek were not there. Just raises more questions.

I will watch it.

I already scanned twitter and see the scrutiny coming from media. Social media mobs will probably be all over this.

It was an unprecedented and risky move.

I will watch it though, you guys are right. I need to see it first but I'm already seeing how the media is treating it which is what I'm referring to anyway.

**** social media mobs. They are what is causing most of this ******n problem in the first place.

This was handled as well as it could have been. Are there problems that need to be addressed? Yes...but not in this format and not only at this university.

The haters are going to attack even if there's nothing to attack. We've seen this first hand the last couple weeks.

The soccer coach in particular addressed it well when he said that they (as UT personnel) were tired of getting beat up and they weren't going to just take it anymore.

It was very well done, IMO.

Karen Weekly: If you want to go back 20 years and look at incidents, I think you'd find similar stories at other places.

Softball coach Karen Weekly: I know some places where football doesn't share the facilities. Here we get half of the facility.

Karen Weekly giving shout outs to Butch Jones and Rick Barnes for taking time to support softball. "That doesn't happen at other schools."

Your first mistake, IMO, was going to Twitter...where the haters run rampant and will attack no matter what.

Basically they told the media to go to hell and that if anyone wanted to put a microscope on TN then go ahead. Said the student athletes (both male and female) love TN, and that the next person that tries to lump the student athletes together, based off of the actions of a few, that as a unit, the coaching staff of UT would kill them (I may or may not have embellished this part).

Brother, believe me. I know.

I think I'm gonna pull the plug on twitter. Special interests, social media mobs, pc bros, etc are ruining it.

But that is the reality of the world we live in. My criticism of this presser was the fact that it was unprecedented and brings even more attention to the University. On top of that, Dave Hart and Jimmy Cheek were not present which is raising eyebrows.

I'm gonna withhold further judgment until I watch it. I believe that we must have felt the need to do something and that is how we ended up here. I'm going to watch this thing with an open mind before being critical going forward on this.

What exactly doesn't "raise eyebrows" with the idiot mob? Are you really espousing not defending the university, because you are afraid of the fight? That is why these lunatics are ruining the world now.

She is right. There is not a single campus in the country that you couldn't go back 20 years and make a laundry list of incidents. It's ridiculous. It's purely shock factor to make money. Florida, UGA, FSU, etc imagine being able to go back 20 years on those schools and see what comes back.
