It's good when there are 6 to 10 people in the race.

It's not good when there are 2 or 3.

Trump is clearly in the driver's seat. My point has been that Rubio has emerged as the real contender to Trump and Cruz has under performed in a state he should have done much better in.

I personally know a few people who swung to Rubio from Cruz and Trump based on Haley's endorsement. You are underestimating her popularity. That endorsement was a real shot in the arm for the Rubio campaign in SC.

SC has been Trump's to lose for weeks. The Haley endorsement moved Cruz down to bronze, Rubio to silver, and cut into trumps margin of victory.

The whole timing of it was odd. And I'm sure it pissed Jeb! off something terrible. She had hinted at throwing her weight behind him earlier in process.

The goal for giving and receiving endorsements is to WIN. Trump walked away with all 50 delegates, and Rubio again finishes second.

Even Cruz lost no more than Rubio, because Rubio did not win a single delegate either.

Haley's endorsement of Rubio was negligible in its affect on the South Carolina primary.

That's true. But in the long game, Rubio escapes SC smelling much better than Cruz.

Discounting her endorsement value is silly.

If Rubio had won just one single congressional district in SC he would have won at least one delegate, however insignificant it would have been. Where's the Haley affect?

And people keep saying how good it is for Rubio to coontinue finishing second and third. That's pure horse manure.

I hope Kasich and Carson see the light and drop out of the race. Cruz will still be a snake oil salesman pulling the evangelical vote that otherwise would go to Rubio. I don't see any scenario for Cruz to win the nomination. He's just going to take votes away from Rubio. If it was Trump and Rubio head to head from here on out, I'd like Rubio's chances more.

Regardless, like UTC said, Kasich should be the running mate for whomever receives the nomination.

I could live with Cruz or Rubio. Just need to hold Rubio's feet to the fire on immigration. If it's Trump vs Hillary,( absolutely no difference in the two)get ready for societal meltdown. I'll simply tune out, check out of the process and buy more ammo.

Rubio is for amnesty, only Trump or Cruz are for enforcing the existing laws.

Neither trump nor Cruz's views are as clear cut as you claim. Trump supports amnesty after his wall is in place. And Cruz has the whole gang of 8 bill baggage

The most amazing thing about the trump and Cruz campaigns are that no matter how many times they're caught lying and doubling down on lies, their supporters don't waiver. It's scary.
