As a Cam Newton supporter I have to say that I was disappointed with the way he acted toward the media and I'm not gonna blame it on the whole he's young and he'll learn from it. This is a 27 year old man that gets paid millions to play football so he should be old enough to know better. Win with grace, lose with grace. I think the whole fumble thing is just his haters trying to pile on, if I'm his coach I'm telling my star qb to stay away from that pile and not get hurt, kind of like when Qbs throw interceptions and they stay away from the play because they know it's open season. But come on, you gotta admit that the quote about "show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser" is classic stuff.

I actually think that back-peddling from the fumble with so much on the line reflects worse on him than any part of that post-game press conference.

Rumor out there that Bowling Green WR Gehrig Dieter is transferring to Bama. Yes, he was the one that showed out against us.

Isn't that dude like 30 already? Wasn't BG already his 2nd stop after high school with a redshirt in between?

Unless he's already graduated, wouldn't he not be eligible until 2017? Basically eating a year in 2016?

The rumor is graduate transfer for his senior year. I believe you're right on that being his 2nd stop. Unsure if there is any validity to it, just a rumor out there

Pretty sure I remember them saying that both of their top 2 WRs during our game had started out someplace else, Baylor and Houston maybe?

Fort says he only signed FAA. UT can talk/see him as much as he wants and no other school can. NLI will be signed early next week. He said Kongbo still intends to be a Vol. Didn't sound very concerned just now on 104.5

Kongbo ‘laughing’ at rumors, still sold on Vols

Rebels seem to think they can continue to recruit, though if I was Hugh Freeze, I'd tell parents to just keep the money and let it be instead of stirring another hornet's nest.

Roger Lewis I think was an Ohio State transfer. You may be right with the Baylor connection too.

Ok, looked it up just because it was driving me nuts. Dieter started off at SMU (not Houston) and another WR, Robbie Rhodes, started at Baylor.

Lewis may have been a commit to OSU but doesn't look like he ever actually enrolled there but that may have been for other reasons. Their roster shows that he did a year at a prep school between high school and BGSU.

What if ole miss is telling the parents that their fates are tied together now? And if ole miss goes down so does Kongbo?

Of course as someone mentioned earlier the NCAA has set the precedent of no penalty if "the player knew nothing of the money"

At 26 I lead Marines across Hussein's "line of death". I'm still waiting for my millions for that.

I think was a linebacker 2016 class that Butch recruited over....what was his name (sorry cant remember it) where did he land

Who is the "John Doe" current football player, I wonder?

Otherwise, all the others have been kicked off and disciplined, right? So how is that being indifferent, as the article/suit claims?

It's not exactly a well written article but reading between the lines, the author's mention of the 'before' and 'after' clauses seem to indicate that the angle for the suit is that UT created a 'party environment' for athletes in which rape is likely to happen and that despite knowing that rapes or sexual assaults had occurred or been alleged they did nothing/not enough to correct that environment.

The other aspect is attacking the fact that UT uses an administrative hearing for student conduct and that it provides counsel to athletes who go before administrative hearings (which is true). Although the article calls that unique, I'm not so sure about that. Universities have a lot of different ways of adjudicating student conduct and it's hard to make the case that something is that unique when there's nothing uniform about how colleges and universities handle student discipline (IOW, calling one out for being unique when they're all unique is a bit of stretch).
