Contrast the Cam non-effort on his own fumble with Dobbs' 100 yard all-out dash and then dive on Hurd's fumble in the UGA game.

Dobbs is an awesome leader.

Like McElroy said, Id lose some respect for Cam after that. Id be done with his ass now that he's trying to make excuses for it. Panthers aren't in the Superbowl a year from now. I'm not sure they get close.

Reading LWS's comments on the Kongbo situation gives the whole thing a really weird vibe.

Quotes: "his parents won't sign it and he has to be 21 to sign without parents signature. He will be 21 next month. in the meantime, all schools can continue to try and recruit him"

"He signed financial aid agreements which ensure we will give him a scholarship. this allows Butch to talk about him. Same thing Osborne did in December. That is all that is needed to talk about him.

the National Letter keeps other schools from recruiting him until he enrolls."

"they think he should go to Ole Miss"

He should have dove head first right away. He got scared, and by the time he realized it, his legs were about to get caught up in the pile. So in a way he's right, but his legs never would have been in danger if he had dove for the ball right away

I'd buy his explanation better if he was a 60 year old banker rather than an elite NFL athlete. Even after his initial indecision he could have fallen straight down while moving his legs out of the way. He's a ridiculous athlete, I think he could have found a way to make that happen.

Looks like Freeze's drum circle really fooled his parents. Not sure how it overcame Ole Miss' history of violent racism and recent history of cheating but, you know, whatever.

Kongbo himself just said his dad has been away. It'll be interesting to see if they sign or he waits until next month.

Personally, would love to see them wait for him to sign it. Take the parents out of it altogether to give another layer of protection.

This is OT but, is it weird to anyone else that CBJ only signed one EE? I mean, I understand why but his other classes historically have been loaded with them and its just weird to have so few.

“I think the culture was a big part of it, and I think that stems from Johnny's era there -- the way that they let Johnny and [others] act there,” said Allen, the No. 1-rated pro-style quarterback in the 247Sports Composite for 2014. “They [could] do that and still win games because they had Johnny … and five offensive linemen playing in the NFL right now.”

Allen added: “A lot of people were riding off that, ‘I can do whatever the hell I want and win on Saturday.'"

? Those 4 are the EEs.

Yeah, I meant HS EEs. My fault. Seems like we have had a lot more the past few years. Could just be the class sizes I suppose but its kind of cool to have multiple freshman to look forward to watching in the spring.

I don't think there was a pressing need to have a bunch of HS EEs this season. The team is pretty much complete as is and won't need a lot of help from freshmen. Getting 3 JUCO guys in early is huge, though.

Yeah, I agree. Like I said, I understand...its just a different feel.

Hubbs and Fort don't seem concerned about it. Kongbo himself doesn't even like Ole Miss, apparently. It's only his parents. Freeze and his staff also can't visit them now, according to Hubbs.

Someone said before there were a combination of factors, but one being a number of kids who attended schools that would not allow then to graduate early. Examples being JG and Ryan Johnson.

That's really damn suspicious. Kid hates it, parents INSIST he go there. It's Ole Miss vs Tennessee....come on.

Yes? I was trying to think of situations and couldn't think of any.

Same game or ever? There was one conversation going on about Eric Berry and one about blatant face mask and the other most blatant intentional TD saving game saving one I remember was EB on a fumble or int return vs Ky either on last play or OT that wouodve won it but the face mask couldn't even be enforced. It was blatant and very dangerous looking. He was house bound.

Good grief.

The whole reason for raising your child is to show them right from wrong and how to function as an adult. There comes a time when you have to let go and trust they will use what you have taught them to make decisions for themselves.
