2016 Election

I would imagine the Dems are terrified of Rubio.

Unfortunately there's too many on the conservative side that will call him a RINO or a war hawk just waiting to nuke someone and stay at home when it comes time to vote.

You see it practically every day here.

Personally, I do see him as a war hawk. He talk about it way too much. However that's the only think I dislike about him. So I would vote for him in the general over Hillary.

I found this interesting. An article written after the 2008 election.

And I found this interesting... high school pictures of the candidates.

He's a politician. They say whatever they think the voters want to hear.

Of Trump, Cruz and Rubio, Marco would be dead last in terms of warmongering rhetoric.

If Rubio is a warmonger he's a smart one. He actually has a sound strategy to fight ISIS. He has a lot more knowledge of facts and figures on the ground that all the other candidates don't.

I don't agree with his ideas. But I give him respect in the fact that he wears it like a badge of honor. I would like to see that aspect in other politicians.

He wears it like a badge of honor because he has manipulated the meaning of socialism into something that some people can agree with.

If you tell a Trump supporter "He's playing you and laughing about it with the NYT," they get mad. Yet here it is.

This sounds like something out of the Soviet Union.

I feel dirty for saying this, but I'm rooting for Hillary tomorrow night. I'm surrounded by these people in real life, they've infested all corners of the Internet, and the schadenfreude and salt will be absolutely glorious if he loses Iowa, effectively ending his campaign unless something goes down with the Hillary scandal.

I guess you'd know..... You've thrown more prepubescent tantrums on VN than anyone..... By a very wide margin

Y'know, he's been much different since taking a break. I think it's kind of a dick move to throw past behavior in the face of someone who is clearly working on improving themselves.

All that aside, you're deflecting.

If Trump wins Iowa, then how does anyone stop him from winning the nomination?

Trump is +18 in New Hampshire.
He is +15 in South Carolina.
He is +12 in Nevada.
+10 in Georgia.
+ 17 in Marco Rubio's home state of Florida.
In Texas, the home of Ted Cruz, Trump is only -2 in the polls.

How, Trump haters, will ya'll halt Trump's March to the nomination?

This has more to do with him not winning the general than it has to do with him getting the nomination. Posted an article that stated 52% of Republican voters would not endorse Trump in the general.

He wins the nomination I will vote for my congressman and senator but not for Trump. The guy is the most liked candidate in the history of the Gallop Poll at 66% and this is before the Dems even release any oppo research on him which they have tons of.

Who do you root for in FU vs Bama? I root for a meteor to strike the building.

Trump will garner democrat, black, the so-called independent voters, and people who don't trust Hillary.

You can discard all the junk about Trump's negatives, etc., (all of which was used to say that Trump would be out of the race already).
This is a phenomena that has never before been seen in presidential contests.

Trump will defeat Hillary by 5 points in the general election.
