Paul skipped the undercard debate because he had actually qualified for the main debate.

Trump is skipping because he's an entitled overgrown child who is used to always getting his way, In case all of his previous comments haven't shown that already.

Actually Rand and Trump both skipped because they felt disrespected by the hosts.

The people who support candidates who are polling at 1% obviously do. They are a grouchy bunch. You think I care if Christie or Rand shows up? Hell no

I just find it humorous listening to the difference in attitudes of some posters between trump and Rand.

When Rand skipped it was justified. He was too good for the second card.

If Trump skips it will be petty. It was clear one of the moderators was gunning for him last time.

Exactly. I don't GAF what Rand does. Rand supporters shouldn't care what Trump does. May the best man win. "Good Luck" in my best Taken voice

I wanted Rand to debate regardless but it's clear that skipping was a good move. His contention was that a few tenths of a percent shouldn't be enough to separate a bunch of middling candidates into separate tiers, especially when polling is such an inexact science. And yes, his ego was probably bruised, because Rand definitely has one.

If you believe Trump, his reasoning is that Fox and Megyn Kelly have treated him unfairly. To me that says he's afraid to answer questions about his record. The FNC debate was the only one where he actually was asked about his liberal record. Every candidate should be vetted so that voters know what their stances are. If he's so offended, maybe he shouldn't run on being conservative and anti-PC. Trump seems to think he's above the political process entirely.

What I'm amazed by is how trump supporters consider Megyn asking Trump to answer for things he's actually said, to be a personal attack.

I guess you want a president who would tell your daughter on national TV how great she would look on her knees (yes, that happened, and it's one of the things she asked him about).

Might turn out to be a good move for Trump too. Regardless of your opinion of Trump, it was clear she was gunning for him in the first debate.

It's funny to see how different people's judgments and perceptions are of two very similar situations.

Because she asked if questions about things he's actually said? And then called him out for lying to her face about having only said them to Rosie O?

Here's the thing though, he best get used to people gunning for him. He needs to answer the tough questions.

Like why should we believe you're no longer a liberal?

What is your actual plan regarding anything, beyond vague statements of political change winning?

I'm not saying it won't. By running his own event simultaneously, he'll be able to deflect some of the lambasting the other candidates will give him.

As far as Kelly gunning for him, I think it was a little bit crass to open the debate with it, but I don't have any problem with the way the question was composed. His feigned outrage got him a lot more attention (and still is), so it was probably another net positive.

The crazy things Donald Trump has said question of the day:

Would you have an issue with Donald Trump (who is also a married man) telling your wife or daughter that she'd look great on her knees?

Is this acceptable and presidential behavior?

What I find funny is that the people here who trash Trump for not being a conservative, wouldn't come close to supporting a true conservative anyway. They just want to demean the supporters of the candidate. In their mind, they are the smartest people in the room......too smart by far to support a Republican, unless it's little Paul.

Because most of her questions to Trump were thinly veiled attacks and her treatment of him was different from the others on the stage. I watched it and remember it vividly.

As much VN and driving as I do, if that's the worst mistake I made today, I'll be happy.

Upset because I mentioned your candidates weak on immigration?

Didn't realize you were doing VN while driving. Good luck in your quest for a Darwin Award.

Bad guess on who my candidate is. I don't know yet.

Pretty much. They can't even type the name of who they "support"

Great. Then tell me outside of the one question I referenced, how else did she attack him?

There isn't a person in the race more conservative than Paul. And somehow he manages it without divisive rhetoric and making all of his colleagues hate his guts.
