Danny Wuerffel is the definitive best quarterback since the early expansion of the SEC,and maybe the best all-time. He collected four straight SEC titles, unseated Heisman candidate Terry Dean in his freshman season, won the Heisman in 1996 and capped off his career with a National Championship over hated rival Florida State.
Career Statistics: 708-1170 (60.5%) for 10,875 yards (114 TD/42 INT)
We are talking strictly college.
I think there is a decent consensus Tebow had the best collegiate career in the history of the SEC and Newton had the best single season for a QB in SEC history.
I am too...if his game was that good, then it should have translated to the next level. He's a system QB. I think Tebow is too. Cam is showing that he has developed his game as a pure QB. He could fit into different systems and be successful, as can Peyton. JMOTIFWIWI'MGOINGTODISNEY
Arguing the greatest this or that is fine. It's sports talk. That said, it's about as productive as trying to convince each other which color is the best.
Personally, I've always been fond of using the color that fits the occasion without need of a favorite. Obviously, football players are like that as well. It's pretty darn hard to come up with the best overall. Somebody else will just adjust the metrics of the argument a bit to favor their guy.
