Stewart will have to make up his mind at some point. We have pretty much already recruited over him and he hasn't even enrolled. Playing time not looking good for his future

Stewart's delay could wind up being a good thing. He could come in with his full grown man body or at least be closer to it with four or five years to develop his skills. By the time that kid is a senior he could be a beast.

I'm gonna say it. Vilify me if you want.

Assuming we have only 3 spots left and assuming they all want in, take Brown/Daniels, Warrior, Williams. Drop nieuhaus or Tatum and take Dickerson. Drop Buchanan and take Byrd.

Yea it's cold blooded and wrong. But I want the best players regardless of feelings.

If bridges are burned, so be it. If we consistently compete for championships, players will be wanting in regardless what we did to a player from their school previously.

List of best coaches: Saban, Meyer, Kelly, Harbaugh, Briles, dantonio, etc.

ALL COLD BLOODED

You put down the bottle yet, my friend?

I don't have a problem with dropping players in most circumstances, but Buchanan would just be wrong. Taking someone's commitment a month before NSD and then telling him to cancel an OV in order to cement his spot on the list, and then still dropping him is not right.

Not to mention that he's teammates with Warrior at a very good school in ATL. It would be just dumb to drop him

I forgot about that Buchanan-Warrior connection.

Yea don't Drop him.

Don't see them dropping any of the 3 you mentioned. They just talked Buchanon out of OSU visit and he is a teammate of Warrior at a school we don't want to tick off. Staff loves those OTs potential and sees Dickerson as a G.

3 tackles committed, one interior lineman (assuming Stewart comes in). And Dickerson is the most skilled of all of them

Also in regards to the number crunch, hasn't either an insider or one of the beat writers insinuated that we have at least one silent commit? It could be that, for example, Warrior is a silent so it's not 5 for 3 spots it's only 4 for 3.

Or I just could be imagining that someone said that and everyone should ignore this

Realistically, I don't think Kongbo comes, so you have Warrior, Brown, Dickerson, and Byrd. We need more help in the defensive secondary, so Dickerson would be the odd man out unless they find room.

Cutting guys loose this late in the game all depends on what the recruiting board looks like. VQ has said that the staff is getting guys they really want and who are high up on the board even though their rankings may not be great.

That said, I'm sure Butch still wants to make a splash on NSD. Hopefully the numbers just magically work out and we can take everyone who wants in.

Fortenberry says only 3. But I think they underestimated the number last year.

Not saying I approve of such methods. But perhaps Butch is having VQ put that number out there to try and put pressure on prospects to act quickly to secure their spot?
