He was going to anyway. I wonder if this is more Sherion realizing your supposed to finish a full yr before transferring to avoid a lengthy transfer sit period. Isn't it 2 yrs if you don't finish you freshman yr? It wouldn't suprise me to see him transfer after spring of he still feels it's a hard battle to win

I wonder with the summer if Sherrion could have completed enough time to where that didnt apply. With kids starting during summer sessions now, I would imagine that could make a difference. Otherwise he would have lost his redshirt year I believe and only had 2 years left at Colorado, which no one mentioned, so I assume he completed enough hours.

Man, so glad to have Jones back in the fold. I really hated to see this guy leave. In watching his film, he has all the tools to be a great DT QB in our system. I doubt he will ever try to transfer again though :}:}. Looks like a true 4 year QB now and that can't be all bad.

As much as we run the Qb, the backup is just one bad hit from his chance. Look at Baylor this year. Two QB injuries shot their season. Now we don't have to worry about depth at least for a year.

Even at UC his QBs could usually move. Legaux was a dual-threat guy when healthy. Collaros would run... Wasn't very good at it, but the threat was there. Only Pike was a statue, but he made up for it by having an NFL arm before he blew out his elbow.

Brendan Kay did well...may have been a tad slower than Dormady.

I don't think this offense can operate at full throttle without a QB who can be a real threat with his legs. And don't give me the Cincy numbers. I'm talking about in the SEC.

I think you were always wrong on this and moreso now with the increased inverted I. Butch always recruited this type of QB for HIS system...because both types work in it.

I agree with Butchna on most of this. I think the system works for both types of QB. (inverted I or no) Behind our O line the past two years, a dual threat QB was a must. Worley was a sitting duck.

However, I think that in college football a dual threat QB is so much more valuable than at the pro level and I think in Butch Jones system it just magnifies that a bit. If I was a coach I would try to sign 3 DT QB to every 1 Pro Style.
