I 've never spoken negatively of anyone here that I can recall. In your case I'll make an exception. You ain't got a clue about what you are saying. You gotta be a chokie!!! Battle at Bristol WILL be epic and all the better cause you ain't here. I live less than 6 miles from track off of 394 so I know you ain't never been here on race weekend from your remarks.

A mile implies that the stadium itself is at least 1 mile in both width and depth. That is 5,280 feet or 1,760 yards. And that is where the first seat would start. It is not that big.

Once again this is about attending an event that will be a once in a lifetime thing while supporting the team. It will be fun. It will be different.

No doubt. If a person doesn't want to go then fine. Why be negative about it? I never cease to be amazed by some of our "fans".
It's like when the student painted the rock for the UGA game and some here bashed about that.

I seriously don't understand the issue that folks have with the upper deck view at Neyland.

I wasn't a math major,But with a 1/2 mile oval track,it seems that you will be able to be within a mile... So it will be 440yards long if it went straight down and back. But if you say you have 100 yards from sideline to sideline you are now only talking about 240 yards long from one end of stands to the other. If you put it in the middle,70 yards at the end zones will be the distance from the field, but probably closer than that since this is all a guess on how far the sidelines track length is and not taking the oval into the equation... And the sidelines will be closer...

And if all these tickets are not being bought, tell me where to buy one. Luckily I have a friend who has Bristol Season Passes and bought 8, so I'm good, but you have no clue what it's going to look like to watch a game there... Maybe you do, just enlighten any of us where you watched a game at a race track

Well the straight aways are 650 ft long the track is 40 ft wide. So if you superimpose the track across pit lane it is roughly about 100 ft from the fence to the beginning of the actual infield. If you are farsighted you will be fine, nearsighted maybe not so much.

For real, I've sat all over Neyland. I love the upper deck, a birds eye view to all of the action. One of the few places you can truly see everything at any angle. The only thing I don't like is the hike up that makes me a little dizzy lol

I'm at the top row in the ZZ's and love it as well and so do the 5 people that usually go with me. I think it is the alcohol that makes the climb so dizzying.

It will be much further in the endzones than the sidelines,but still, people saying it'll be a mile away, even sarcastically, are just ignorant

I agree, with both statements. Yeah the corners are going to be a bear. I will see if I can get those dimensions and get a rough estimate for that distance.

The only bad seats in Neyland are the South end zone seats with no view of the Jumbotron. I was in ZZ11 this past year but moved over to DD this year just to be closer to midfield. I just didn't like when UT is on the other end,you can't tell if they gain 1 yard or 10... But that is every endzone perspective in every stadium

Yeah I have gotten my distance depth perception pretty accurate, but it takes some concentration. We've been sitting up there for about 7 years.

You might have been in the wrong town in 97, hence no scalpers. Probably should've checked on University Ave in Gainesville.

So 100 feet = approximately 34 yards. In Neyland from where I sit I can see the action really well from end zone to end zone and one view is over 100 yards away. I agree the end zone seats will be interesting but I'm thinking those sitting alongside the field will be just fine.

I guess those of us that normally sit in the upper deck at Neyland are used to the view. It's those that are used to being right on top of the players along the side lines that will be in for a little shock. Of course they may find that seeing the entire field of play is actually nice.

Exactly. I've been to Bristol 6 times and never met a stranger. The hospitality and tailgating are incredible. We never go hungry/thirsty and are equally glad to share. The atmosphere and experience will be something we'll talk about for years.

Why are you so butt hurt over this game? Did you not get tickets through the lottery or something? If everyone else going has that much bearing on your life that you have to come on here and piss on everyone elses good time then you need to get a life. I have the simplest solution for you regarding this game DONT GO.
