Per Hubbs

From our standpoint, we learned a few things this past week. First, we still believe the Vols are right in the thick of it for Nigel Warrior and while we still think it's tight between Alabama and Tennessee, the addition of Mel Tucker at Georgia could be something worth watching.

Right now, Georgia isn't expected to receive an official visit but expect the Bulldogs to push to receive one over the next three weeks.

And to think he turned that down knowing Les Miles is there at least one more year. Unless they get told "no" by their next target again.

Aranda is a grand slam hire, big pull for LSU but Raymond is is the biggest pull for LSU with any recruit

Quote from Nigel Warrior on Jancek's departure Per Woody:

“I didn’t even know about it. I hadn’t even heard about it. This is the first time I’m hearing about it right now. That’s crazy. I didn’t know anything about that at all. It’s not just him that’s involved in my recruitment, though, it’s everybody on the staff trying to get me. Ever since my 10th grade year they’ve been on me very hard. I know they’re going to keep the rest of the staff together, I don’t really see anybody else leaving, honestly. But if it does it’s going to be a shock. Coach Jancek leaving is a big shock for me.

The interesting thing here is that I feel like we got more information from this Warrior quote than anything else he's said in months. Reading between the lines, this statement says that Warrior is very interested in UT and that the Vols are either #1 or #2 right now. I don't think he speaks like this if the Vols were #3 or #5 on his list. It sounds like he's very seriously interested and needs to re-assess when the new DC is hired. Hopefully that re-assessment goes well.

I really dont think hes coming here

no, i think we get Warrior. he just wants to not live under the shadow of dad. he constantly talks about life other than football and what a great job Butch has done recruiting him.

i think we get Callaway, Warrior, and OL from Flarduh. thats it

I expect that Warrior will be Shoops's first recruiting stop at UT, followed by Brown.

The next few weeks should be fun.
