Sometimes what there ranked and how they actually perform don't go hand in hand. Classes overperform and some underperform and some do about as expected. I will trust this staff on recruiting, I think we end up around 8-12. But if it's 15 or 5, it all depends on the development and the commitment of the players. Worse case we sign a class ranked 15th and then go on and win the east next year, with more commitments next year expect another top rated class. Butch Jones and staff will be fine on the recruitment front. GBO!!!!

I respect your opinion. It just difers from mine. A 15-20 ranked class will be in the bottom half of the SEC. Consistent SEC championship caliber teams are seldom out of the top 10.

I agree that highly ranked classes don't guarantee success but statistically speaking the better you recruit the better your chances are at competing for Championships. A down year in recruiting will eventually show up. JMO

This year's class will not be top 5 in the SEC, much less the nation. Butch has shown his hand. He can't coach on the sideline. He can beat schools where he has much better talent but against SEC schools he is only average at best. If he falters in getting the SEC title next year, he will never get one at UT.

Let's go "there". IIRC, Okie's last 4 or 5 classes per Rivals rated #11-15. They RS guys whenever they can. They are in the NC playoffs and have played for the big trophy several times in the last decade or so. I understand the arguments and points that are made after that statement.

It could be anything or nothing - but most seasons Okie has a shot to get into the playoffs with that level of talent per Rivals analysis. What it tells me is there is not that much difference between a #1 class and a #15 class in many cases relating to the talent level and subsequent team performance when the coaching staff, system, S&C, and player development programs are good.

Okie doesn't play in the SEC, the SEC that dominates the top 10 in recruiting, year in and year out. Much easier path to the playoff.

we dont sign a stellar class this time, we just gotta whipe dat gator ass and show were the top dogs. itll be fine.

Tried to be patient here but he did admit to enjoying stirring things up which is trolling. Ignore time dude and it would not be a failure. If we get Warrior, then I am good. If we get Warrior and one other then I am very happy. It will be ok.

How was I stirring things up lol? I was just saying that if we miss on them the class will be a failure, which is true? If you think us missing on hardman, warrior, brown, and kongbo is okay then your tripping.

Agreed. we shouldnt have had to rely on last second, signing day holdouts iyam. the class should have been close to cemented by now. Butch has his work cut out for him. not sure what happened this year.

This is about how I see it. Sucks but it is what it is. Hopefully I am dead wrong, but I am fully prepared on losing out on all of these guys.
