Well sir, he withdrew it so I am not sure he wants it out there. But this is not nuclear missle codes so, in a nutshell, the staff did not believe that USC would make Tee the OC and that CZA is probably not going anywhere.

I took it that he meant CZA is more likely to stay now because Tee got the OC job at USC and that no one on staff had thought that would happen.

Thats basically butch telling Z "we'd rather have Tee than you"

Wow

LWS implied that it would be unlikely that Tee would ever be on Jones's staff b/c of some circumstances surrounding the time he flew out to interview for the WR job b4 CZA was hired. The VQ guys suggested that it would be hard for CZA to turn down an OC or Co-OC spot with his buddy Durkin at MD. GFW has said that all staff movement stuff has been real hush-hush. There's definitely smoke here. But sounds like a lot of moving parts, and maybe that's why the OP retracted his statement.

I'm up here in Lansing for my gf's sisters wedding tomorrow. Been asking around if MSU fans are confident in beating Alabama in the CFB playoff this year. Most have said yes. 1 dude said if Connor Cook plays then their O is very good and should win and not win if he doesn't.

I still believe that one of the new coaches hired will be Mike Canales from North Texas. Just a hunch I have based on Butch's comments about him. Similar to what he said about Debord last winter.

I...uh...obviously missed something on here.

1. What's going on with Tee and CZA?

and more importantly...

2. What's going on with Ulysees S. McGill and AV12?!?

If I'm CBJ and I'm looking for a WR/passing game coordinator because CZA is OC in MD and Tee is OC in USC, I'm calling...
1. Kippy Brown. Maybe he can get past the way he was treated after Kiffin left. After all, we do have a different AD. Would be a home run.
2. Somebody from the Briles/Babers coaching tree. I know it has a lot to do with the system, but Baylor, Bowling Green, and Tulsa dominated various WR rankings this past year.
3. Billy Gonzales. Would be a long shot to leave MSU, but I'd make him tell me no.
4. Terrence Samuel. He has quietly done a very good job at Michigan St. the last few years.
5a. Kasey Dunn. You'd have to think his track record at Okie St. would be a nice sell on the recruiting trail.
5b. Canales. He actually has a very solid resume. Including a couple stints in the NFL.
*honorable mention - Gunter Brewer, Shannon Dawson, Darrin Hinshaw, and dare I say, Trooper Taylor

A little Christmas surprise came 4 weeks early last night

Congratulations and that's quite a little present! Hope all is well with the little one. Our 2nd came 3 weeks early and had to spend a little time in the NICU to get her lungs up and running.
