I agree and I couldn't vote for him but I can understand his appeal. America really could use an anti-establishment candidate. Some of the stuff he says is true but he just goes way over the top. I never thought his appeal would last but it seems to keep working for him.

Just goes to show how desperate some people...a large number actually...are for change.

The current idiots in Washington are responsible for the Trump "phenomena".

Correct. I kind of like that he's stirring things up, and if it came to him or Hillary, I'd vote for him(very reluctantly). He would be WAY down the list for me based on who's running, though.

Hitler? Really? He does say very abrasive things on purpose but Hitler? Donald Trump is not a drug addicted psyco bent on reshaping the world through the creation of a master race. I know he hurt your feelings and all, but dang.

The "make America great again" is similar to the platform Hitler ran on when Germany was in shambles post WWI. Combine that with his xenophobia, tracking all Muslims and making them wear badges, etc, and its not a bad comparison.

I think Trump is closer to Hillary in terms of their radical views than he is to Hitler.

Very correct but trump is going to have to pick up Carson, Rubio, cruze, and the others voters as they drop out if he wants to win.

He has to add to his base and comments like yesterday make that happening much harder IMO

I agree. I was comparing them from the standpoint that they are about the same in their extreme positions.

I don't think Trump means much of what he says. He says it for two reasons. One, he does it for publicity, attention and two, he likes to push the line. He's says "Hey, this is working, let's see how far we can push this thing". So he keeps getting more radical until he sees it start to hurt him. Have you noticed how his retoric has escalated as time has went on? As long as his polling numbers are good he'll keep pushing the envelope.

Unfortunately, it is working for him. At the beginning I thought this was purely a circus side show that would fizzle out. I thought there was no way he'd get the nomination. I now think there's a decent chance that he gets it. We'll then be forced to choose between him or Hillary.

Go back and read some history. The similarities are quite striking. Luckily, I'm fully confident Trump would be impeached before he did anything too damaging. This goes beyond any Republican/Democrat debate.

Although I don't agree with a number of conservative positions, I have always voted Republican. However, I cringe at the thought of having to choose between Trump and Hillary or Sanders.

The future is scary. As a country, we're polarized socially and racially. Obama was very instrumental or influential in creating this divide and I frankly don't see anyone clamoring to lead the country who is capable of uniting us. And if America does not move towards unity, things will only get worse...there's a lot of smart people in this country and if they continue to refuse to acknowledge this, I don't know how we can address our problems.
