2016 Election

It's not a student council election. They don't like Cruz because he holds them accountable. It annoys them that he tries to deliver on what he told his constituents he stands for.

Mitch and the boys don't want a squeaky wheel in their midst. Keep in mind, the Republicans have plenty of power to influence the agenda in Washington. They CHOOSE not to do it.

What has Cruz done in the Senate to hold anyone accountable?
He has stirred up trouble nothing else.

Mitch, Graham, McCain and Lamar still lead by a nose.

With respect to Graham, I don't think he's nearly as bad as the others you mention.

I'm sure he did all of that 'holding accountable' stuff because he's a great elected official with a big heart; definitely not because he had plans to run for President in 2016. His campaign announcement at Liberty University tells me all I need to know about this fraud.

Cruz has done nothing. He gets on the floor of the Senate and grandstands like Obama did in the Senate. He has yet to accomplish any thing or pass any meaningful legislation. His filibuster of Obamacare failed, yet he attempted to criticize Rubio after he was able to pass legislation that prevented the U.S. Government from bailing out insurance companies who were failing because of Obamacare. He has burned all his bridges in the Senate. A President who has no bridge or relationship with congress is a President who can not govern.

We need more like him in the Senate and House. Standing up against the progressive agenda is what his constituents voted him in to do. Yes he's pissed people off, and yes he's burnt bridges. But that is what is needed. It's sad that there isn't more like him willing to stand up and provide a check and balance to the establishment. I wish he represented me instead of the 2 lap dogs we have in there now.

I don't know what you guys have against Graham except his voice. He has always come across to me as a competent senator that is pretty level-headed. I say this despite his remarks about boots on the ground to fight ISIS, something in which I completely disagree with.

Latest CNN/ORC poll released 12/4/2015:

Trump 36%; up 9 points
Cruz 16%; up 12 points
Carson 14%; down 8 points
Rubio 12%; up 4 points
Bush 3% down 5 points

Trump increasing gap no matter what he says. Carson has been successfully demonized. Cruz a stealthy second. Rubio hanging in there. Over for Bush.

Carson did it to himself.
It is over for Bush and Carson.
Mr Trump keeps gaining. The media said he could not get over 20%, then 25% etc.

The clown wants to go to war with everyone.

Don't worry. You'll be on the Trump train before long.

:)

I very well may be. He is one candidate I am very unsure about.

One one hand, his style of government would never work.

On the other hand his type of governing change may be exactly what we need.

This is where I'm at with him.

Me too. But he still scares the $hit out of me. The idea of Trump having his finger on the button makes me nervous as hell.

Meh.

If he goes to push the button, that means someone, somewhere else has already launched a strike at us, and it won't matter anyway.

My sentiments for Trump and Cruz are similar. Both are not the typical politician which I happen to think is a plus because I feel strongly that it is time for someone to shake up our current government. It has been a dismal failure from both parties for the last 10 - 20 years.

Many posters have complained about the same thing, and yet will then criticize Cruz because he has pissed off many other Senators, etc. because he doesn't tow the standard GOP playbook. Well isn't that what we should want? Someone who's willing to take a stand to shake things up?

Then we also have those who make fun of his looks, which is just absolutely ludicrous to even think that how one looks would be a factor in whether or not they're qualified to be POTUS. You might as well put yourself in the same category of all the females who were in favor of John Edwards because of his looks. Cruz is clearly one of the most intelligent and knowledgeable candidates running. I'm not sold on him or Trump as yet because I do have concerns, but I like them both for being anti-establishment.

Vigo County Indiana has correctly chosen every president since 1888, except for 1908 and 1952. That is an astounding track record.

Donald Trump has wide and fervent support in Vigo County.

All of you Communists and Liberal republicans better begin reconciling yourself to the fact that Donald Trump is getting closer to becoming the Republican nominee, and President of the United States.

Just think about the excitement in America as Trump rests his hand on the Holy Bible and takes the oath of office, officially ending the Muslim presidency of Hussein Obama.
