I'm curious as to how they're gonna shuffle the offensive coaches to make room for a QB coach.

I could only see them also getting rid of Mahoney, having debord be OC/OL and then hiring QB and WR coaches.

If Mahoney does stay, is it common to have a QB/WR coach?

I wonder if Manning might make a better WR coach in college than QB coach. He's en expert technician in the pass game. I think he could do well at it. He knows what they need to do.

Debord coached TE in NFL. I could see something like...
-Debord-OC/TE
-Elder-STC/WR - he actually coached safeties at Cincy, sort of a Jack of all trades
-Gillespie-RC/RB
-Mahoney or Stacy Searels-OL
-Scott Loeffler- QB/Passing game coordinator

Not sure how I feel about that set up but there are plenty of connections there. Just guessing of course

Ok ok... so, IF we lose CZA, Jancek, and we bring in a QB coach, who do you want?? Hypothetically

Don't have major qualms over anyone currently on the staff. Impressed with the improvement in all phases, particularly in the trenches and secondary, especially in light of all the injuries. I'm hoping for has much continuity as possible this offseason.

IMO if we get A QB coach the odd position out would be TE

Would make sense why jones brought up cZa coaching the punt return team as he may have been trying to deemphasize the importance of our current ST coach.


Elder may be odd man out if a QB coach is coming in

I'm guessing Nick Sheridan gets promoted.

If Peyton Manning wants to coach, he'd be hired in heartbeat. He's said on several occasions he's a big believer in Butch Jones and what he's building here.
