Has anyone looked at Cutcliffe as a head coach. He's not young, but he's a great coach. (Maybe he doesn't want to leave Duke..)

I think South Carolina was looking at Cut.

No clue how good of a recruiter Fuente has been/will be but his first tweet was thanking Beamer for welcoming him and his family to VT and his second was:

Lot of Tech folks haven't been happy about the handful of 5 stars who have headed up the road to UVA from the area in the last few years. No clue if he'll succeed in stopping that but looks like priority number 1 is going to be to try.

They have Richt, Schiano, Mullen, and Davis on the hook and could probably choose between any of those guys. That's with very little fan support and crappy facilities.

We got turned down by Fisher, Gundy, Strong, Fedora, and Golden before settling for Butch. Massive fanbase and top-notch facilities.

I guess the UT roster was in such bad condition and the schedule so daunting that no one really wanted to deal with it except Butch.

Va Tech needed to let Fuente bring whatever assistants he wanted to. Leftovers (Bud Carson) usually don't work out.

I seen that Grier has been MIA in classes and even on campus since his appeal was denied.
