I'd be completely shocked if we are even getting serious consideration.

I wouldn't be shocked based off the fact it is still a good story line and we would make them a crap ton of money. UF can fulfill the same narrative though and won the east. Therefore has the upper hand

Florida Bowls don't want the Gators. They spend no freaking money. UF may get one, but it will not be because any of the Florida want them.

This all day. They barely sold 7k of their 18k tickets for their Sugar Bowl appearance in 2013 with an 11-1 team, and we're expected to believe that more will go watch that putrid cesspool of an offense? Bowls are about money and butts in seats, and that fan base is notorious for neither. UT/Mich bowl would sell out within the hour.

Mizzou talking to Richt.. The buzz seems to be Smart at GA, Richt at Mizzou and Muschamp at SC.

It looks like SEC potential coaches don't want to be fired in a few years because they only won 9 games..

You don't think UF would bring revenue to the city? You're selling UF brand short if you think otherwise. This isn't some crap bowl game in Jax.

As for UM game...If Orlando feels UF won't sell seats for a bowl game its no way they commit to the reported 4 year host deal bc of possible lost revenue.

Didn't you mean crap bowl game in Birmingham?

Ugh. This was my next point. I was waiting for HG to fall into the trap. LOL

Would be an excellent hire for Mizzou.

How does UF bring more money to the city than Tennessee or LSU? Bowls have obligations to their host cities. Out-of-state schools would sell way, way more hotel rooms and do way more touristy stuff than a bunch of near locals.

What would a UF-UM home and home have to do with Orlando?

I think the point HG is making is there is talk of a 4-game series between Miami & Florida, with the games to be played in Orlando. They have already committed to opening the 2019 season.

As a result, Orlando is looking at those games collectively as being more valuable than if a UT, LSU, etc., was to play in one of the Citrus Bowl games.

If this isn't what HG is saying, then he's on his own...LOL.

It would be very sophomoric if a single bowl affected a series like that. I seriously doubt UF would feel outrageously spurned for more than a day. Besides that series won't sell out. I guarantee that.

FWIW Deerpark says Citrus not realistic.

I really don't think it is. The citrus is required to take the SEC team with the best record or within one game of the team with the best record not in the NY6.

I saw the Citrus bowl account tweet that Bama, Ole Miss, UF, LSU and UGA were only teams it was allowed to consider.

Bama and Ole Miss will be in P/O & NY6.

Then very likely Citrus selects 10-3 UF. UGA and LSU considered because they have "9" wins. LSU isnt penalized for weather game.

If we played a crap OOC game like UGA and LSU we'd be in play, glad Hart has got rid of the top 10 type team OOC. In the SEC that does nothing for you.

Now I am basing all that off that tweet from the Bowl.

I thought it went off SEC record which UF will have two SEC losses after Sat.

That would open it up for us if it's only SEC record.

I also think Outback makes most sense.

If they do, it will do so because of the Gators and not Miami.

However, I'm not taking your bet.

Interesting Scott Frost to UCF. So Babers announcement by some media was premature

Yeah apparently Babers was slow playing them...UCF got tired of waiting. Frost also interviewed for the North Texas job. He should kill it in Orlando....that's a very underrated job.

Citrus or outback are both great options for us

Yep. Nice to have this discussion two years in a row, too.

Finish off the season with a nice winning streak, the first nine-win season in a decade and head into next season with a highly motivated, talented, and seasoned roster that's primed for a run at the SECCG.

Boomage.

Eh, Get outta here with this stuff. What do You think our hopes and excitement are based in?

No Rules.

Just Right.

It's just right man. We are on an upward trajectory and we could beat Michigan. Florida would probably get beat pretty soundly by them. Does the SEC want that in an already overall down year for the conference?

Come on now. This is Tennessee. It ain't gonna be that smooth. Haha.

Something will happen. Transfers/arrests/dismissals/bad injury bug in camp...something that will begin to clog up our sunshine pumps.
