My mistake. You said Thomas and Kerbyson were lower level SEC lineman and not that great. I guess that's why they've won back to back SEC lineman of the week

That sounds more like it. And yeah, I still think that. I'll happily eat crow on Thomas if I'm wrong, but I think my main point was that our OL is going to get a lot better (more athletic, stronger) next year when a few of the upperclassmen graduate/transfer.

Also our OL looked a lot better when Jashon got back.

Unless a close relative of Jalens who ate Thanksgiving lunch with him isn’t telling the truth, Jalen isn’t going anywhere and is happy.

Also, If Jalen and Alvin were leaving the coaches would know. Do you think we might see a full court press/panic with mass offers/visits recruiting multiple tailbacks? Are we seeing that?

Some folks are just really gullible or just refuse to be happy.

Oh man....Bruce Feldman says Muschamp is getting some pretty good consideration for the HC at SCjr.

Surely Ray Tanner is not that dumb.

Oh man, if Muschamp goes to USCe, and Smart goes to UGA...

I could see Dormady transferring. Sure, he might be the guy in 2016 if Dobbs gets hurt, but if that doesn't happen, he will have a hell of a QB competition on his hands heading into 2017 and only two years to play if he wins. Plus, I'm sure he's aware of his limitations as a mobile QB and the fact that Butch's offense greatly favors guys with wheels.

Another player I could see leaving is Butcher. His injury set him back on the depth chart, and we are loading up at DE for the third year in a row.

Kendrick is only one that the writing is clearly on the wall IMO.

He has 2 years left to play and even though he was healthy this past week he lost his starting job.

I wouldn't blame him at all for moving on

Thanks bleedingorange! Tell us more of this good news about Jalen being happy:) Hopefully the other news a few weeks ago was just him being frustrated which we never should have heard about on a message board honestly.

A few key stats:

Special teams efficiency: #3 in the nation
Overall team efficiency: #11 in the nation
Fewest penalty yards per game: #6 in the nation

We have a pretty damn good coaching staff, folks. The team is extremely disciplined and doesn't make a lot of mistakes.

My favorite thing about this year's team has been its discipline. We have been outstanding on the little things. Have we even had a personal foul unsportsmanlike conduct call against us other than targeting?

Little nuances that I love about this year's team:
- We don't burn timeouts because of substitution/play calling delays
- Our coverage units play hard, stay in their lanes, and finish tackles.
- We don't miss blocking assignments in the kicking game.
- We don't turn the ball over on boneheaded plays.

I'm pretty sure Tampa and Florida get more rainfall than the Pac NW. It rains more often in the NW, but not as hard when it does.

Yep, I know Atlanta gets more rain than Seattle. I think Mobile is the rainiest city in the US.

You're both right. :hi: Seattle was something like #42 on the list, but may well have the most rainy days in an average year.

Do you think Seattle is the rainiest city in the United States? Well, think again.

Mobile, Ala., actually topped a new list of soggiest cities in the contiguous 48 states, with more than 5 feet of rainfall annually, according to a study conducted by San Francisco-based WeatherBill, Inc.

The Southeast dominated the most rainy list, while the Pacific Northwest never enters the list until Olympia, Washington pops up at number 24.

The 10 rainiest cities in the U.S. by amount of annual rainfall include:

1. Mobile, Ala.: 67 inches average annual rainfall; 59 average annual rainy days
2. Pensacola, Fla.: 65 inches average annual rainfall; 56 average annual rainy days
3. New Orleans, La.: 64 inches average annual rainfall; 59 average annual rainy days
4. West Palm Beach, Fla.: 63 inches average annual rainfall; 58 average annual rainy days
5. Lafayette, La.: 62 inches average annual rainfall; 55 average annual rainy days
6. Baton Rouge, La.: 62 inches average annual rainfall; 56 average annual rainy days
7. Miami, Fla.: 62 inches average annual rainfall; 57 average annual rainy days
8. Port Arthur, Texas: 61 inches average annual rainfall; 51 average annual rainy days
9. Tallahassee, Fla.: 61 inches average annual rainfall; 56 average annual rainy days
10. Lake Charles, La.: 58 inches average annual rainfall; 50 average annual rainy days

And the rainiest city in the U.S. is... - Technology & science - Science - LiveScience | NBC News

2-3, losing to Georgia by 3 touchdowns with Bama next on your schedule. I can think of plenty of bad things that might and probably should follow. Instead, Butch keeps the team together and focused.

According to the "geniuses" in the FF, the staff didn't do anything good this year and we'll never win a big game under Butch.

Georgia talk radio says most of the buzz is around Kirby Smart but the Talking heads I heard are more interested in Herman getting the job.

If the reason SEC coaches are losing jobs because they can't compete with Saban, I'm pretty happy with Butch. We have gotten progressively better against them every year, and almost beat them this year.

Very few think that, but the very small minority who do, do so loudly.

Agreed

Jones lacks one last piece of the puzzle to prove he is a home run kind of coach.

Every single other parts of the puzzle are there. Now he needs to prove he can be a better gameday coach. IMO I think we see that next year

I wasn't trying to imply that everyone in the FF thought like that. I know there are some reasonable posters that are in the FF. There's also some fringe fans and trolls in there.

The encouraging thing about Butch on gameday is that he really seemed to learn from the mistakes early in the year as the season went on. Nothing was evident of that more than him going for it on the goal line against Vandy last Saturday, and even though he didn't get it (ARrggghhhhh Jalen fumbling at the goal-line stupid shotgun formation asfd;kajsdf;lkjasf) it paid off. I hope he realizes had he done that at Oklahoma, and that is a different game.
