Piggybacking with what someone posted that Butch said about being the transfer season, a pessimist could really run with that.

Would royally suck.

With the numbers Hurd has, and less than 1100 yds from being the top rusher at UT with one game remaining this year...why on earth would he leave?!?! Kid may not like not lining up behind a fb, but numbers don't lie!!

Would be totally idiotic from Hurd's perspective. He's not transferring.

Yeah I just can't see it. How miserable could he be? I mean his coach goes in his press conference and claims he's one of the best backs in the country and says he needs more recognition. He's a huge part of our offense.

He's had a great season. He has one left before he heads to the NFL. He will waste an entire season of NFL money by transferring. No way he does that.

This program is on very solid footing with talent. It's clearly stronger than any one player or even a group of kids.

Zero reason to cry over any kid not wanting to be here. Addition by subtraction if anyone leaves.

Fans would live with Mario.

Richt may get a look from Va as well. I think they hire Golden tho.

Sc should call Richt. Would love for him to beat Ga as pay back.

Live with Mario? He was 27-47 in the Sun Belt.

Underwhelming hire would be an understatement.

Some bigger names would have to say no before they get down to him.

It's all silly and this is the only Vols forum that keeps latching onto this. He and Fournette will probably be the first team SEC RB's next year and he will become the all time leading rusher at the school.

lol, agenda. I love how on VN if you have an opinion someone else doesn't like you are suddenly the chairman of some weird committee or something.

Nah dude. No agenda. Just having a conversation.

It was pretty obvious that Malone has improved from where he was at the beginning of the year to where he is now. Like, extremely obvious. He's not elite yet at all...but as far as noticeable improvement goes, I don't know how you could miss it.

The week after SeanJohn said Coleman Thomas was terrible he won SEC lineman of the week. So, food for thought

A few key stats:

Special teams efficiency: #3 in the nation
Overall team efficiency: #11 in the nation
Fewest penalty yards per game: #6 in the nation

We have a pretty damn good coaching staff, folks. The team is extremely disciplined and doesn't make a lot of mistakes.

*IF* Hurd, Kamara, JRM, Sutton, Kendrick, and/or Dormady etc. leave, to they each count as one opening for recruiting?

Again, I never said he hasn't improved. I said he's an average SEC talent and his ability is over-rated. VN really having a tough time reading today.

If anything, you seem to agree with me, in that he isn't "elite yet at all." That is my point. His recruiting profile, and some folks' expectation of him, is that he is on the way to being elite. I don't see that. That's all.

You don't tend to say what you really mean. You hide it underneath layers of quips and jokes. So forgive me if I misread.

I read this board a lot. I know you're not an extremist either way. Neither am I.

I'm trying to understand your point though.

Dormady could have opened up the offense a ton through the air. He's a better backup option than Peterman. Got it. Agreed on both points. I still think he may have costed us a game or two if we really had to play him in extended time.

Dobbs avoids injury more than other QB's.

What am I missing?

Nothing...absent of any actual facts on Dormady. Since there weren't any. Your belief that a team that has to play their backup might not win every game isn't really radical on it's face...but it is a BELIEF. :hi:

Gosh if we lose Hurd and Kamara we lose our backfield, surely that won't happen. Hurd makes no sense and really Kamara doesn't make sense either. The way I read it, it sounded like 2 other players who have potential which sounds like 2 freshmen who maybe aren't happy with their playing time. I immediately thought of Dormady who could be the other? Just when I thought I could relax for a few weeks lol!

Surprising to me
