It's so easy, especially at UT. We have a fleet of grass engineers already on campus. Average competence from our AD could easily get us there.

Thats why I'm concerned. We are an AG campus and the field is this bad currently. How it gets to there with the expertise we have is beyond me. Hopefully the grounds crew is let go and someone is brought in who knows what they are doing. Otherwise I fear we will be in same position next year.

Ward as in John Ward? If yes, who the hell could say a single negative thing about him? He's the GOAT in my opinion. If no, still see above comment :eek:lol:

I agree

Here is the culprit

In all seriousness, I don't understand the Kesling hate/Ward love. Kesling is more than competent, and Ward often sounded like hot ass. Both were/are fine at their jobs. But Kesling is not that bad and Ward is not that awesome.

I'll be honest. Deerpark's 0% chance on field turf comment has me a little down this morning only because I don't see them figuring out this grass. Hopefully I'm wrong.

The grass worked fine for 15+ years before this merry band of dumbasses came in and ****ed it up. It worked then and it can work now, we just need a competent groundskeeper.

If UGA hires Smart, I will not be frightened at all.

I really hope they are stupid enough to pull that.

Also that hurts SC as he's one of their last hopes, they are really floundering with this UGA news.

Any comparison will also show Brady's 11 win record vs. Manning's 5. It will also show what is ultimately the only thing that matters when it comes to "the greatest QB of all time debate": Super Bowl wins, of which Brady has many more.

You aren't getting my point. The multiple cheating scandals over multiple years is the trump card. It's the noise that drowns out all other arguments.

No matter what anyone puts up in Brady's favor, a counter of he's on a team that's been caught cheating multiple times and he himself was personally involved in one of them. It's one thing to suspect, but they've been caught more than once and Brady was personally involved. It's the loudest voice in a room of differing opinions.

It's not just about Manning vs Brady. Of all the notable sports cheating scandals in my lifetime (Rose's gambling, Maguire's roids, spygate, Bonds's roids, Canseco's roids, Armstrong's doping, and deflategate) these guys have been embroiled in two of them. And they continue to come out smelling like a rose while others get hammered for less. It's more than just Manning vs Brady, but I can't help but wonder if Manning wouldn't have a few more rings if somewhere along the line he or one of his respective head coaches had had less integrity.

They brought in the former groundskeeper for consultation. Deerpark made it seem like the current guy is pretty clueless when it comes to producing a field that can withstand the rigors of a football season.

Richt sounded like he wants to keep coaching during his press conference. I hope he goes to Miami and helps keep players away from UF.

Anybody know of any can't-miss cyber Monday online sales today? Like for UT gear or fitness equipment/gear?

No idea. There are some decent supplement deals on bodybuilding.com though if anyone uses those. A lot cheaper than Vitamin Shoppe or GNC.

Better fit for Carolina IMO. I think Richt is a good coach that will never win the big one but will compete for the east year in and out.

Carolina Mizzou basically same programs...with similar expectations. Typical Richt year is golden for them. Gamecocks got spoiled two years ago and would cluck a little bit. But when it gets dark they hush. :)

Why is this baffling? They have watched the guy do the job up close, and think he can do a good job. What is baffling is people thinking that a big name, is always the way to go for a big program.

With all of the coaches out there and USC being USC this is truly baffling.

Cautionary tale on just firing your coach and easily snapping up a great one. Sarkisian was a crap sandwich, they had no choice on firing him. But with basically a whole season to identify the new face of your program? "Demanders of excellence" on this board? Take heed. :hi:
