At one time Patterson was one year in at TCU...Meyer at Bowling Green...etc. After one year at Toledo and his stint as Browns DC,Michigan State REACHED for Saban...you get the narrative. :)

Has me intrigued for sure. Would be one thing if just Butch and Dave, but the two major sports and him has to be aomething AD wide related, right?

Barnes to coach football and Butch to AD?

Yea Smart isn't who I'm thinking. More like a Jimbo or Mullen.

I hope they get Smart cause that'll hurt SCe too.

Worst case UGA gets a Jimbo type name and SCe gets Smart (even though I think their screwed either way).

It's probably nothing. Addressing a contract extension. Not sure on Barnes unless they're just taking advantage of everyone being there.

I was just thinking the same thing OG, it was around the time of the Arkansas game that he did say that. Why else would he have a press conference with the two head coaches?
