First part is true. Second part isn't. We were already better, but we can still benefit greatly in recruiting from them screwing up the hire.

That being said, I would probably rather have wanted him to stay.

Can't reply to Bruin lol.

But with a lesser hire (Smart maybe) Butch starts really cleaning up Georgia recruits and we really skyrocket for the foreseeable future.

That all said, this hire is all important for us. We need to start a thread just for this hiring search.

Who's the "right guy" in your opinion? I don't know if there is a home run hire out there for UGA right now. At least not one that's any kind of guarantee.

It's much more likely that they downgrade with this hire.

Of course, the other possibility is that they make a hire that isn't a good fit and they go through two to three years of turbulence trying to sort it out.

Just like some of you to resort to reflex negativity when no one has the first clue what's about to happen.

Since 2000 we are 11-5 against Georgia. You can say oh but we sucked most of those years, but doesn't change the fact that its still a freakin loss to freakin Georgia. They almost took the series lead, absolutely disgusting.

OTOH, Georgia could be a very sexy destination for a name we aren't even thinking of now that is already successful at a lesser school, say a Mike Gundy, Gary Patterson, Jim Mora (has ties), etc...

Muschamp did a great job at Auburn this season. Especially with all those 4 and 5 stars he had to work with..... Wait a second

Mullen lost to A&M and LSU this year. Neither were juggernauts. Also Ole Miss. I know Miss St is a tough job but of the choices UGA would have Mullen is most like Richt in outcomes.

OV also said we were going to get Kyle Davis a few days before committing to Barn.
