While I don't disagree, he's not losing his starting gig as a senior. He may not have all it takes to lead us to the promised land (like I think JG does), but I won't bet against him. Worse QB's have had more success.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but I am really curious as to how many agree with your assessment of Dobbs Heisman like abilities? Show of hands...like the quoted post if you think Dobbs is accurate.

Weather looks so much better than it did a few days ago.

Looks like the field is going to finally be dry on gameday and the entire week before. Very much beats the alternative in terms of who it favors

I agree, Dobbs probably isn't losing his spot. Butch stuck with Worley, and that was clearly the worse option, so I'm sure he'll stick with experience when the gap, if there is one, is much smaller.

But most of all, thank the Lord for His many blessings. We will all be remembering good times, hard times, the birth of children, and for the time we've had with ones we've lost this past year. For all this, I am thankful. And Big Orange football. And a bowl game.

Couple of things:
1. Any of you beer and/or bourbon/whiskey lovers out there in the greater Knoxville area need to make your way to McScrooge's this Friday cause we have some very interesting items for you. I actually cheated and filled myself up a growler of a wonderful 18%abv beer tonight beforehand.

2. Because I didn't leave work until after 12 tonight and I have to be back there bright and early Friday morning, I'm not going to be able to go home for Thanksgiving. This is going to be my first Thanksgiving without seeing my family so tomorrow is going to be weird for me.

3. Vols are going to kick some ass this weekend on their way to an Outback Bowl berth and a 9-4 record.

I'm not a Dobbs hater, but he's a less accurate, less athletic, and much smarter version of Marshall.

I could care less about the stats. I watched both play so the comparison is asinine.

But go ahead believe what you want to believe. I just think its foolish.

In the end I'm confident I'll be proven right. Dobbs has ELITE QB talent IMO. He just needs more seasoning and experience. I expect him to explode next year as a national star and draft prospect.

I better not see you guys jumping on the bandwagon next year when Dobbs is being talked about as one of the top QBs in the country and a high NFL draft pick. You guys better just admit you were wrong.

I'm sure if Dobbs doesn't get better I'll continue to hear from yall.

Chiang Rai annual American Football game today. Your boy went Carlin Fils-Aime on they.

2 receptions, 2 TD
1 run, 25 yards

I had to let em' know, East Tennessee brings the game, and 'erybody else can watch the show. :)

Dobbs wiil be a senior...and he has played since he was a freshman. All we heard all summer long was how much better Dobbs was after working with Debord. I and many others just do not see the improvement...like Kirkland, for instance. We all hope he does...but I will be surprised if it happens. It has not been easy for him but the O line is improving...he is not.

He's adequate, at times, as a passer. But in tight games with good teams adequate has not been enough to move the ball when the box is stacked against the run. The receivers & O line have not helped him always...but if Dobbs was just half the passer that he is everything else, he would be up for the Heisman.
