Pretty pumped that we took out Mizzou last night. Defense is playing lights out down the stretch. We should destroy Vandy this week.

The game was the only bright spot to my day yesterday. Injured my hand at work yesterday really bad. Dropped a big wooden shelving unit on my right hand. Had a big laceration from the middle of my Palm to the bottom of my ring finger stitched up.

My ring finger is broken in 4 different places. My pinky finger bone is split down the middle. Then to top it off my Palm is broken into multiple pieces.

Go to a hand specialist this week to see what kind of surgery this going to require. Physical therapy is probably in my future.
Dang. That stinks. You have my sympathies. As someone who finds it difficult to go through a single day without picking up a guitar, I have nightmares about an injury like that. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I'm still SMH at Iowa. 65th ranked strength of schedule and they're #3 in AP. The best team they played was Northwestern and Wisconsin.

There's no point of Tennessee playing good OOC teams anymore as long as we schedule Bama. The SoS clearly isn't used in determining rankings, so why schedule anyone else hard?

I wish Hart had bought out Oregon 2013, OU 2014, and OU 2015 within 30 minutes of Dooley losing to Kentucky.

Not even the most optimistic timeline would have had us winning any of those games in late November 2011 (even though we almost pulled it off against the Sooners this year).

I was completely in favor of us buying out Oregon in 2013. I knew they were going to smoke us in embarrassing fashion given their speed and our lack thereof. Of course, everyone was all "We're Tennessee! We don't back down!" And then we missed a bowl game. Womp womp.

As fun as recruiting is going to be over the next two months, and it will be, as something happens at UGA, whether Pruitt, Richt or both, VN needs to brace themselves....

There are about to be about a dozen power 5 staffs formed, and you can absolutely bank on some of our coaches being targets, and not just the ones VN always wants gone. Gonna need to hold on to your hats.

Good point, Nick. However, as long as we can match the money being offered (unless someone is getting offered a promotion from position coach to coordinator, or coordinator to HC), I think we can hold on to who we want to keep. The coaches know that we are very close to being a championship level team. Why would they leave now, except for promotion? They are all about to reap the fruits of their hard labor. If we do lose someone, I'm confident CBJ will replace them with someone as good or better. His elite recruiting ability comes in handy when hiring coaches, too.

Looks like we all owe that guy that reported a serious injury to M. North an apology.

Tennessee this year = no North, no Croom, no Pig, no problem.

Amazing what we've overcome.

Because if we had a softer schedule and were winning, then there would be even more complaints about how we play nobody.

There's no way to work it out but I wish we could get Ohio State in a bowl.

They will be primed for a let down not playing for a championship. It would do great things for the program if we could beat them in a bowl.

Malone making tough catches lasted about 2 wks.......I really don't get it. Seriously has to be untouched to catch it 99% of the time

Its ridiculous how passive he plays. I'll give him credit he did go up and get one between two defenders against Mizzou. Can't remember exactly what point in the game. If he attacks the ball like that every time there is no reason he's not All-SEC.

Maybe in February or June. Not today unless it's about a fired coach or something juicy.

I mean, sure, right after Signing Day, maybe in spring practice or summer camp, but people really seem to grumble about the in season press conferences. What is said, how it is said, what is left out, the tone of voice, on and on.

I don't get it.

Its like dealing with my wife.

You guys know it's still possible to have under achieved and still improved at the same time right? There are reasons to be excited about the future and reasons to be cautious about the future rn IMO.

No but it was close. I would take coordinator experience at Bama or FSU or another top 10 program over head coaching experience at Central Michigan but that's just me.

None of those coaches wanted Tennessee...CBJ yearned for Tennessee. For that reason, I will endure the learning curve.
