I don't recall if that happens either but would love to know

To me the bowl is irrelevant when considering extension or not

8wins is a step upward from the 6/7 of last year. That's good enough for me

sheeeeesh...out of about 40 posts this page, 10 are Bruin and another 10 have quoted him, last page was worse i think...Leb all over again lately.

If he doesn't win the next 2 games then I would call every single bluff Butch and/or his agent will make. Losing to this years Mizz or Vandy team this year would be downright pitiful.

Getting married and having a kid were the best birth control for me and my wife. Not sure how you guys have the time or energy to continue having sex let alone kids.

8 wins is a step. A very small step, but still a step. 2020 still lets the 2016 class to be here with Butch fully as their HC. IMO he needs to make a better statement than 8 wins to get a raise plus extension.

Do you think if we really put it on Missouri this weekend (on field turf) coupled with the Ky games he uses that to try and pressure them with what the team could do on field turf? I really don't care either way. If I counted correctly 14 of the NFL teams have field turf. These guys better get used to it if they are wanting to play on the big stage. I just don't get why Deerpark and others like Jimmy Hyams have said it will never happen. I mean there is that big of an argument over turf vs grass?

The '16 class starts their college careers with the '16 season. so 16, 17, 18, and 19 would be a full 4-year college ride. 2020 would be for those that get a redshirt.

I don't see the fanbase's divisiveness on Butch resolving next season.

I think he wins just enough games to keep the split 50/50. Maybe 9-10 regular season wins and either 2nd in the East again or a trip to ATL and a loss. Which sounds okay now, but will be enough to light some people's hair on fire.

Both are. If he loses either then I can only imagine what the fallout would be. The fans reactions and what they would say as well as his coach speak. Could reach insane levels.

Honestly, I like the thought of having a grass field. To me it is more natural. But, I don't blame those who like the turf fields.

I have played on all three surfaces. I really don't mind the new turf, however, nothing is better than real grass IMO. Just something about the smell, the feel, etc. Sorry, I'm getting nostalgic.

Neyland had Astro Turf from 68-93.

I'm nostalgic now. Actually I don't care one way or the other. I damn sure don't want the ACL death trap we have right now.

Fix it or replace it

This argument never ends, though. The next year, the same point can be for that recruiting class and the one after that and the one after that, etc.

This is a decision for the AD and the school. If they can't figure it out, I'm sure the big money boosters will help.

I'm going to worry about lawn maintenance and Sam's vasectomy.

I think it's important for each years recruiting class to know the coach has an extension for their time at each school

Under that thinking jones doesn't need an extension this year.

However most of the 17 class will be decided before this comes up again so I won't be disappointed to see him receive one

MIZZ is a decent team and they will be fired up because this is there coaches last home game and he is a players coach so we will have our hands full and they always got plenty of NFL talent on the defense this will be a hard tough fought battle that could come down to the last few minutes of the game, if Dobbs is of in the passing game and they take the run away from Dobbs we can't beat them depending on Dobbs arm we need his legs in this game and our Defense has to step up and dominate and if they do and we don't turn the ball over we should win pulling away in the fourth quarter.
