Many different laws now than 5-10 years ago regarding chemicals and fertilizing.
Regardless when someone that covers the team, Deerpark, or travis Stephens confirms part of my "story" that was mocked and ridiculed here I damn sure am bringing those post/reports here to this thread
Well not sure whether to be proud or cry
Basilo is either reading my post or confirming them
This is a post from the FF forum
Issue may be jones overuses the field... not giving the field any off season rest ad wanting a green surface year round. see Tony Basilio note on current grasskeeper...
....Why is that Darren Seybold's other fields on that campus at EVERY OTHER natural grass venue are spotless with wonderful playing fields? The Lady Vols soccer stadium is immaculate. Both the softball and baseball fields are wonderful. The track is spotless yet the football field is mess. I'll help you out here. Every other aforementioned surface has down time and is not re sodded every year. I'll give you another nugget. Sources told me late last night that Seybold wanted to top dress the playing field in Neyland Stadium but was rebuffed by the football staff. The purpose of top dressing is to make the field less slick while this also helps keep the surface together during use. Plus, Tennessee hasn't been using a 1/2 inch cleat. Instead, they've been using a 3/8 inch cleat on that surface. This hasn't helped matters..
What has Hart done to handle this situation? never had this issue with previous grasskeeper.. cause may be the way Jones overuses the field year round...
Could hurt recruiting ..Why go to Tennessee and blow out your knee with the horrible field conditions?
Waiting on those test results are almost as bad as getting bad news from the test results.
Glad you're doing ok, SHG. Hopefully better days are ahead and the worst is behind you. Prayers for you still, ma'am.

Deerpark has confirmed nearly everything I posted.
Seybold worked for only Dooley and jones. Part of his "excuse" is overuse by jones.
Deerpark confirmed jones uses the field more than Dooley which is the only thing that matters when considering Seybold

He also said that Dooley is the exception, that Fulmer used the field a lot too, and that the previous guy never had a problem.
Basilio trying to compare the field to the softball, soccer, and baseball fields is amateur at best. Anyone can tell you that football fields take a completely different type of abuse than baseball and soccer fields.
That's another thing Deerpark said that you're ignoring: that our current guy is great at growing baseball fields and golf courses since that's his experience, but that he's not so great at maintaining a field.
You're either willfully ignoring or failing to comprehend the things Deerpark has written that clash with your little conspiracy theory.
The only parts of your story that have been confirmed are that players were using a 3/8 cleat and Dooley did less on the field than Butch. And Deerpark even clarified that players have the option to choose which cleat they'd rather wear. Nike's "speed" cleats happen to be molded and don't allow for clear adjustment and naturally most skill players will gravitate towards those cleats. Many different laws now than 5-10 years ago regarding chemicals and fertilizing.
