So when Seybold was first here things were good?

Started to decline 3 years ago?

If that is the case I know what that leads me to believe

That's not what I said. It was great when Campbell left and has been in steady decline since. It first became noticeable 3 years ago, but wasn't impacting performance yet.

I'm not sure you're connecting the right dots here, Bruin. Correlation doesn't necessarily imply causation.

Edit: Actually I went back and that was how it sounded. What I originally meant to say is that things weren't bad the first two years. But it has been a steady decline. Read Hyams' article, he puts it in terms of if the field was a team. He says it like this:

"If Neyland’s turf were judged on a won-loss basis, it would have been 11-1 in 2011, then 9-3, then 6-6 then 3-9 then 0-12."

There should be more chatter about the benefit of apparently getting much of the team healthy headed into our final games.

If LSU and UGA both enter coaching search this year they'll both be on my Hambone award nominee short list.

they should broker a straight swap no buyouts.

There's some news out there about a UF recruitnik with a recruiting website who turned out to be catfishing, and he's got UF's compliance office all in a tizzy.

The information on his message board was usually accurate, but this person misrepresented who he was and got busted.

Well not sure whether to be proud or cry

Basilo is either reading my post or confirming them

This is a post from the FF forum

Issue may be jones overuses the field... not giving the field any off season rest ad wanting a green surface year round. see Tony Basilio note on current grasskeeper...

....Why is that Darren Seybold's other fields on that campus at EVERY OTHER natural grass venue are spotless with wonderful playing fields? The Lady Vols soccer stadium is immaculate. Both the softball and baseball fields are wonderful. The track is spotless yet the football field is mess. I'll help you out here. Every other aforementioned surface has down time and is not re sodded every year. I'll give you another nugget. Sources told me late last night that Seybold wanted to top dress the playing field in Neyland Stadium but was rebuffed by the football staff. The purpose of top dressing is to make the field less slick while this also helps keep the surface together during use. Plus, Tennessee hasn't been using a 1/2 inch cleat. Instead, they've been using a 3/8 inch cleat on that surface. This hasn't helped matters..

What has Hart done to handle this situation? never had this issue with previous grasskeeper.. cause may be the way Jones overuses the field year round...
Could hurt recruiting ..Why go to Tennessee and blow out your knee with the horrible field conditions?

You're touting Basilio, the king of UT conspiracy theories?

If there's a pot around, he's going to stir it, right or wrong.

Why do you keep on this after Deerpark refuted it saying Fulmer and Kiffin both used the field to practice more than Butch. Get off it man. Your theory has been bunked and you just post it in a different thread. It's getting old

Deerpark has confirmed nearly everything I posted.

Seybold worked for only Dooley and jones. Part of his "excuse" is overuse by jones.

Deerpark confirmed jones uses the field more than Dooley which is the only thing that matters when considering Seybold

Which would then come back to a problem with the current groundskeeper. Seeing as the other groundskeeper had the field fine with more use under Fullmer and Kiffin

Just part of your spin man

Many different laws now than 5-10 years ago regarding chemicals and fertilizing.

Regardless when someone that covers the team, Deerpark, or travis Stephens confirms part of my "story" that was mocked and ridiculed here I damn sure am bringing those post/reports here to this thread

The field isn't going to miraculously get better for the Vandy game, therefore this is going to be the most annoying offseason topic ever.
